With all the war mongering from North Korea and our own not so loveable nut in the White House does anyone believe Dr. Strangelove IS NOT alive and well? Of course how much longer any of us will be alive and well is the big question for all of us.
Things were bad enough when the deranged leader of one of the most repressive and backwards nations on the planet was allowed to jerk us all around by an endless series of provocations designed to maintain the existence of the rule of a family of tyrants.
But now we have the leader of one of the most powerful nation on Earth mimicking the lunatic behavior of the North Korean leader.
These truly are dangerous times and removing trump isn’t going to remove the danger. The fact that somebody so totally unsuited to be the president was able to get into office indicates a very deep disease in the US body politic. trump isn’t a genuine democratic leader, he’s the political equivalent of a virus attacking a weakened host.
The US has years of rebuilding ahead of it if it does - if we al do - survive the coming days and weeks it’s going to take to get this virus out of our system. Then there’s a slightly worse one to deal with if Pence becomes president.
