Not facts, just a little bit of speculation.
Yes, that’s all it is. And I agree with the notion of “presumed innocent until proven guilty”.
So, unless someone comes up with credible evidence, the attention should be focused on the country that has a compelling interest in disturbing the oil and gas supply to the European coalition that supports Ukraine.
And that country is Russia, a large powerful country run by a madman, a mass murderer, to satisfy his dreams of Russia’s Old Glory, which he helped destroy.
Yo Metalhead, it’s expected that when you quote someone else you offer an attribution. You copy and pasted the entire comment, and it seems speculation, opining and insinuations, but little on relevant facts.
Besides, how do we get from dropping radiosondes to undersea divers extracting stuff from a sunken vessel, or potentially attaching bombs to pipelines. Do radiosondes supply surface support for divers these days?
Now that seems like a bit of solid opining.
You are just pissed that bruce wolman is not a public figure so you cant find any dirt on him for your typical character assassination smear tactics
Now you are projecting.
It is you who has been engaged in character assassination smear tactics, without offering a scintilla of proof.
So you are saying Hersh’s past malpractice should not be looked at?
So much of what you say seems based on how you feel, rather than actually looking at the facts. Alexander, among other interesting tidbit, he did a detailed review of the ship in question, related ships and their activity, showing plots that can be verified - none of it aligning with Hersh’s rendition. That’s a problem worth looking at closer, but instead,
Lordie, lordie here you are engaging in character assassination and smear tactics against me, but you are the victim.
I want to discuss the content of those various articles (Hersh, Pearce, Alexander), it’s really fascinating. Hersh started with a bunch of facts and information. Others have come up and pointed out some of those facts are demonstrable mistaken, and they provide evidence their arguments.
What happens? Hersh and pals circle the wagons and defend their own “good character” by attacking the good character of the folks who are pointing out discrepancies that are definitely there, and avoiding the detail that have become muddled.
Why can’t we get back to the specific claims made by Alexander or Pearce -
Name what’s wrong,
Explain why it’s wrong,
Offer what evidence you’re using to justify your perspective.
I have my world view, still I’m a “stand-up” guy, not lustful of what others have, just doing my little thing with the people in my life and the places I get to be at, I know the difference between honesty and deception and god forgive but I have lied in my past. Still, I’ve damned well know it too, and if I get smacked for something I deserve I can take it like a man.
Oh but to you, I’ve just gotta be some cartoon villain, a stupid tool of the boggy man.
Grow up buddy.
The explanations are in bruce wolmans response. Grow up buddy
Well focus on explaining that a bit better.
No time for another deep dive, but I did read Wolmans’ article,
He made some good points, worth verifying one way or the other,
but still, seemed more hand waving than substance.
Sort of doing the same thing he was accusing Alexander of doing, I wasn’t overly impressed.
Still, I’m listening, what do you have?
On that note, there is also the theory that America would like to supply Europe with energy.

No, the US had to release some of its own reserves to stop runaway inflation of oil prices.
Biden wants to keep as much oil for US to bridge the time for a complete sea change in energy production.
This is a hard fact:
#Worldometers
373,277,730 Energy used today (MWh), of which:
317,755,082- from non-renewable sources (MWh)
56,212,371- from renewable sources (MWh)
2,338,976,812,267 Solar energy striking Earth [today] (MWh)
76,559,180 Oil pumped today (barrels)
1,411,486,133,028 Oil left (barrels)
14,720 Days to the end of oil (~40 years)
If consumed at current rates

I won’t see the end of oil, but you might if you are under 40 years of age.
And that means…no more oil for public consumption. Do you get the picture?!!
Tagging on to that, here are some interesting reads . . .

Life is full of surprises.
One guy says no - america has not done well out of nordstreams bombing while the other guy says yes europe has been forced to go to america for supply but both are avoiding the critic of alexanders claims of seymours report .
Hilarious

Well then why can’t you highlight the criticism you think holds water?
Here’s a theory, first Russia proves they can target and destroy an under water pipeline, now they are precision mapping Norway’s North Sea pipelines, what next?

NBC News’ Tom Costello joins Andrea Mitchell with his exclusive reporting on a potential flashpoint between Russia and the West, after he joined a special NATO team on patrol in the North Sea, surveilling key oil and internet infrastructure.
“NATO is on guard on patrol and takes this very seriously,” says Costello. “There is a lot of stress and tension up there because they very much are aware that there is this act of Russian activity right there in the North Sea over their oil and gas pipelines, over the internet lines. They are very worried about it.”

Experts say drones could bus used for espionage, sabotage and intimidation
STAVANGER, NORWAY — October 23, 2022
Norwegian oil and gas workers normally don’t see anything more threatening than North Sea waves crashing against the steel legs of their offshore platforms. But lately they have noticed a more troubling sight: unidentified drones buzzing in the skies overhead.
With Norway replacing Russia as Europe’s main source of natural gas, military experts suspect the unmanned aircraft are Moscow’s doings. They list espionage, sabotage and intimidation as possible motives for the drone flights.
The Norwegian government has sent warships, coastguard vessels and fighter jets to patrol around the offshore facilities. Norway’s national guard stationed soldiers around onshore refineries that also were buzzed by drones.
Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has invited the navies of NATO allies Britain, France and Germany to help address what could be more than a Norwegian problem. …

Russia is looking to target vital Dutch maritime and energy infrastructure in the North Sea, the country's military intelligence warned Feb. 20.
Here’s a theory, first Russia proves they can target and destroy an under water pipeline, now they are precision mapping Norway’s North Sea pipelines, what next?
The US will send a few subs and sink anything that looks threatening. The Russians may go down there , but never come back up. And any underwater explosions can be attributed to a Russian attempt to blow up the pipeline gone wrong and killed them.
