I’m pretty jaded on political speeches, but this one got my attention when my wife shared it, Michelle hit it out of the ball park regarding why women deserve sovereignty over their own body and health, and why men ought to care.
Former first lady Michelle Obama made the case to voters at a Kamala Harris rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan, that women’s reproductive rights need protecting and the health of all women will be in danger if Donald Trump is elected.
In case your curious, check it out, # In defense of women, postcard (activism) effort has been on a side rail for a couple months, been a very busy summer, autumn since no one is pitching in, but I have the postcard and eventually they’ll get sent.
Who matters more to the American voter, American women or Palestinian women? As an American, which one are we more likely to know? Every American knows American women, but few Americans have ever met a Palestinian woman. More importantly, which one is voting?
American women obviously, which is how it should be.
I could not care less about Michelle Obama or what she says, but oddly enough, she matters more to me than Palestinian women.
This tweet by an Israeli woman nutshells everything that has gone wrong with ‘feminism’
I came across this tweet by an Israeli woman, Yael Bar Tur, on Israel’s attack on Iran which nutshells EVERYTHING that has gone wrong with modern feminism.
“Last night a regime that jails and kills women for walking around with their hair uncovered was attacked by an Air Force that includes elite female combat pilots. It’s not hard to pick a side here.”
Ms Bar Tur work for the NYPD in social media and digital services.
Well, no, feminism was never meant to be a brand label stuck on any and all behaviours, no matter how immoral, as long as they’re carried out by a woman. Same story with gay liberation. That started as the perfectly sensible view that the State should not police or involve itself in intimate relationships between consenting adults. Somehow it’s become “hey, Tel Aviv has Pride marches so, you know, anything Israel does anywhere in the world is just peachy by us.”
