Lies, propaganda and fake news: A challenge for our age

Omg, i know someone who listens to Jimmy Dore. I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you are in that deep. He uses thin or no evidence, and spends a half hour telling you what to think. I might have time to walk through one with you next week, but meanwhile, read some Noam Chomsky or something.

I didn’t say it would be hard to prove the poisoning. I said anyone other than Putin says that’s what happened. That’s such a strange defense. You are so sure that the KGB can poison someone and get away with, that if they survive, it proves to you that it couldn’t be the KGB. In other words, classic conspiracy theory logic, that you somehow know that there is a secret group pulling the strings, and if I ask for evidence, you say they are so secret, you can’t get the evidence.

This is the “demoralized” part of propaganda. Sorry, that’s how I see it. You are so convinced that what you see happening can’t be really happening, and you feel helpless to change things for the better, so you invent a secret group, and nowadays, you don’t have to work at it, the internet hands you so much; ready-made conclusions, people who are angry, frustrated, just like you, giving you what you want.

CFI is here to offer everything you need to “do your own research”, to learn how things work, and don’t work, and why.

You’ve suggested this topic. I don’t think it’s a straightforward choice by which to judge your media. Then too, you haven’t provided any source. So I’ll readily provide the best:

No, it doesn’t end here. In terms of media accountability the Steele dossier is far more straight forward, and can take down virtually every mainstream media institution as stooges for the deep state. Of course it is a nail in the coffin known as Russiagate. So much more connectivity arises from it, all potentially overwhelming in detail, but you see just a few key lies exposed is enough. This is the litmus test style of media accountability. We are so fortunate to not be stuck with the broadcast sources of old. Really, upon disproving their integrity it leaves me wondering if I grew up in this propaganda state that we are now living. I don’t believe it was this bad even twenty years ago. There were reporters like Chris Hedges at the NYT, but then he was fired for his coverage of the Iraq war. Remember Larry King? He wound up at RT; Russian television. There is a long list of the censored, and famous, who have gone there. Phil Donahoue never did, but he was fired just like Tucker Carlson was. Iraq war, again. I guess the Bush era marks the beginning of the end of free media and free speech. FISA courts run amuck, Deep State sprawl, and let’s not forget our own personal torture station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where civil rights don’t exist. As you keep adding up these details the situation grows darker and darker. The only way to prop up a pile of lies as it collapses is to pile on more. FAFA…

Love for you to post what he said but you wont/cant. The west first said poison through skin contact (underpants) on flight from tomsk to moscow then it became through ingestion with a bottle of water “found” in his hotel room days after he checked out. Which hotel leaves the previous guests rubbish in the room for the next guest?

To believe the western narrative you would have to believe the poisoners, as in the cases of Navalny and the Skripals are spectacularly incompetent in using one of the most toxic substances on earth.

PS - skripals have vanished. No one has seen him or his daughter. You would think western media would be all over them with interviews telling their story of putins evil :imp: plan

Don’t call me out like that. That is the definition of trolling.

That’s warning number two. You will be reading my evidence without being logged in, because your account will be suspended

It’s a shame to hear the threat of censorship while details and content have been passed. Rhetoric is a portion of any quality conversation and it should hopefully be used more of less like salt and pepper.
Because the Western side of this whole thing has come from a corrupt source to act as if this Navalny incident were settled in stone cannot be…

Lets not get hostile

Especially let’s not censor the inquisitive at the center for inquiry…
"Then we were told that they found traces of this infamous Novichok that is known around the world. I said, “Please give us the materials.” Primarily, the biological material and the official report so that we can do more research that can give us official and formal legal grounds for initiating criminal proceedings. What was unusual about this request? Our Prosecutor General’s Office, in keeping with the agreements we have with Germany, has repeatedly forwarded official requests for these materials. Is this unusual? In addition, in a conversation with a European leader, I suggested that our specialists go to Germany and together with French, German and Swedish experts work on site to obtain the necessary materials, which we could use to initiate criminal proceedings and, should this incident prove to be a crime, investigate it. But they would not give us anything. How can you explain why? There is no explanation, there is just no explanation. This all looks strange.

Well, they said that they had found traces of Novichok. Later they passed whatever they had on to the OPCW – the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Then quite unexpectedly, they said, it is not Novichok – it is something else. So, is it Novichok or not? This has cast doubt on what was said before. Well, let us investigate the incident together. I say, as I have said several times, that if this is really true, we will definitely conduct an investigation. Unfortunately, there have been attempts on the lives of public figures and businessmen in our country. These cases were investigated in Russia, the culprits were found and punished and, what is important, all of them were punished. We are prepared to spare no effort in this case as well."

The OPCW has already been exposed as corrupt and a tool of the west wrt Syria by bolstering fake chemical attack that its own investigators rejected. So, seeing the reference to the OPCW only sends out alarm bells now. As well, zooming out, this is the nature of the level of control that is being achieved. These are dark times that we live in now, and as to who adapts along and plays into the Russia hate… Complicity is her name.

Yes indeed. In fact the German Defence Ministry in Berlin has confirmed as genuine a copy of its request to the Swedish Defence Research Agency to test Alexei Navalny’s blood, and a partially redacted report of what the Swedes found — and failed to find.
Blacked out in the Swedish report is the evidence of a Novichok chemical because the Swedes failed to identify it. Instead, they told the German Defence Ministry, which paid for the blood testing, that “the presence [blank blank blank] was confirmed in the patient’s blood.”

There are rules here. Posted. That’s the opposite of censorship. His content is fine. His trolling is not.

If you have a rules concern, Move it to the issues thread. That’s a rule.

I guess I missed the trolling. You’ve got such a small participation rate here that it would be an embarrassment to lose one.

On the blood report, I don’t think the blacked out part leads to any sense of coherence. Are you saying that the Swedes version of a report is a blacked out version of the Germans’ report?

I’m afraid if the incident happened this year, with Sweden in NATO the results would have been different. It seems godzilla has a grip on them now. Shipping everything off to the OPCW is just another loaded problem. Here is their side:

Sadly, this organization has already been proven to be in the pocket of the West.
Corrupt on this one? It seems we are arriving there.

Well, sunny, blacked out messages of what somebody didn’t find aren’t going to help matters. Stirring the pot even more: https://en.currenttime.tv/a/30856568.html

Enough people were involved in the analysis I suppose to believe that the truth could eventually surface, but if the acronym ‘OPCW’ applies to all of them then their integrity is already compromised. It is just the sort of deep mistake that the West makes. Destroy the integrity of the OPCW why? If you grind down a flat-head screwdriver into a chisel do yourself a favor and don’t use it as a screwdriver ever again.

Here’s some interesting double speak. I’m not as bothered by it, as I was with Bush because I judge them on their whole record not just one speech , but still.

Remarks by President Biden on America's Place in the World | The White House.

There’s no longer a bright line between foreign and domestic policy. Every action we take in our conduct abroad, we must take with American working families in mind. Advancing a foreign policy for the middle class demands urgent focus on our domestic econog- — economic renewal.

And that’s why I immediately put forth the American Rescue Plan to pull us out of this economic crisis. That’s why I signed an executive order strengthening our Buy American policies last week. And it’s also why I’ll work with Congress to make far-reaching investments in research and development of transformable — in transformable technologies.

These investments are going to create jobs, maintain America’s competitive edge globally, and ensure all Americans share in the dividends.

If we invest in ourselves and our people, if we fight to ensure that American businesses are positioned to compete and win on the global stage, if the rules of international trade aren’t stacked against us, if our workers and intellectual property are protected, then there’s no country on Earth — not China or any other country on Earth — that can match us.

This sounds like, we have to defeat them there or they will come here, post WWII talk.

The idea that our scientific community is compromised by the political or other communities is not desirable. The proof of it, however, is established here. The conclusion of this observation is far more remarkable than this discussion. You’ll have to read between the lines, I’m afraid. The unspeakable truth… that wasn’t supposed to happen here, was it? Neither was this…

Thanks for adding that. Many would not be so honest.

Russiagate ties into current policy regarding Russophobia and the war in Ukraine.
The reignition of the cold war was optional. It is built on lies.

As the mRNA vaccine leaves the deltoid muscle in the arm as lipid nanoparticles, it breaks down, but the makers stabilized the mRNA. As it makes its way to any cell of the body, the immune system attacks that cell as a result of the foreign material. Potentially months later this reaction could be going on. In the heart, where electical flow occurs across the muscle these injuries (myocarditis) are potentially fatal.

For 4 years russiagate was MSMs primary news of the day with maddow the queen of russiagate propaganda telling us how robert mueller will vindicate her conspiracy theories with trump in jail for treason as a russian agent. When he found no such thing , there was no reflection, no mea culpa but a continuation of the lie and acting like they were proven right. Its lives here at CFi today

Well for four years we had a bureaucracy disabled by self-serving, outrageously-melodramatically partisan, dishonest conmen - who pulled out all the stop to suppress this information from coming out and having to face consequences.

But it’s a good reason to provide another little information dump, for any person wanting to rationally evaluate the known facts, as opposed to the Smoke’nMirrors.

G.O.P.-Led Senate Panel Details Ties Between 2016 Trump Campaign and Russia

A nearly 1,000-page report confirmed the special counsel’s findings at a moment when President Trump’s allies have sought to undermine that inquiry.

What is the real story of Donald Trump and Russia? The answer is still unclear, and Democrats in Congress want to get to the bottom of it with an investigation. But there’s no doubt that a spider web of connections—some public, some private, some clear, some murky—exists between Trump, his associates and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

These charts illustrate dozens of those links, including meetings between Russian officials and members of Trump’s campaign and administration; his daughter’s ties to Putin’s friends; Trump’s 2013 visit to Moscow for the Miss Universe pageant; and his short-lived mixed martial arts venture with one of Putin’s favorite athletes. The solid lines mark established facts, while dotted ones represent speculative or unproven connections. …

RUSSIA: TRUMP & HIS TEAM’S TIES

This is reality, you are disconnected, trapped in that maze you built yourself

It leads nowhere.

I’m thinking you missed something important about what love is.

As we interact with them here, I have the same sentiment. Still, at least here the discussion can be had. Amongst friends this discussion cannot be had. Amongst relatives this discussion is destructive. I have quite a list of relations that have suffered through this era circa 2016 and on. Politics is too gut wrenching to discuss now. This is how stifled the system has become. It is toxic to keep breathing the same air; something about a rise in CO2 and a loss of oxygen… To expose the truth of the situation is at least preparing them for the turn that is to come. It really seems to be happening now. How far through the media chain it goes will be of great interest to everyone here I would think. First amendment rights were not supposed to be trampled upon as has been done. Denial of this is like walking on thin ice.
