Justice Scalia on Christianity and capitalism

Recently, the SCOTUS bully AKA Justice Scalia, said Christianity and capitalism were tied together. He may have a valid point.
I do recall that god said go forth and multiply and ever since Adam Smith wrote “The Wealth of Nations” the capitalist have been going forth and doing what it takes to multiply to us.

The only thing I like about Scalia and the other SCOTUS is that they make it transparently obvious that justice is NOT blind, and is in fact a bought and sold commodity just like the rest of them. Hopefully enough young folks will see this and stop being hoodwinked in school when they’re taught about how special American Justice is.

Oddly enough, early Christianity had collectivist practices very similar to Communism. (You should see the fundies around here go ballistic when I point this out!)

Scalia is a disgrace to the Court. His biases skew his thinking so much that point his intellectual prowess in wrong directions. He’s living proof that a high IQ isn’t sufficient qualification to serve as a judge.

Great point! Certain Christian ideas are indeed utterly Communist. Monasteries are the most plain place to see that, but you also have the Bruderhof Communities and the Hutterites. Any Capitalist influence into Christian thought came during the Reformation via the Reformed / Calvinist / Puritan / so called "Protestant Work Ethic". You would never hear an official Catholic proclamation on Capitalism, as it is totally un-Christian. Here you have it... my honest, atheist defense of true Christianity ;-)
