What are you speaking about ?

If you are meaning the american civil rights movements in USA, it means for many French people. as a time in History and present. Many French people have empathy for those who suffer.

An remember that in France, universalism is the idea that every human being should have the same rights and an equal treatment, whatever be his sex, his religion, his skin color and so.

And if you refer to France, we never had legal segregation and racial discrimination, except in the dark hours of 1940/1944.

And 3/4 of Jews present in France escaped deportation. Want to know why ? Because French people helped them.

for instance, during the the roundup of the vel d’Hiv, on the 6th of July 1942, the project was to arrest 22,000 Jews in Greater Paris. In total 13,152 Jews were arrested.[An unknown number of people managed to escape, warned by a clandestine Jewish newspaper or the French Resistance, hidden by neighbors or benefiting from the lack of zeal or thoroughness of some policemen.

And movements to fight for human rights were created very soon in France, for instance, la Ligue des Droits de l’ Homme, in 1898, as a reaction to the Dreyfus trial.

Empathy, sense of brotherhood can be important. French Republic motto is

" Liberté, égalité, fraternité " "Freedom, Equality, brotherhood "

I think, Lausten, that it’s a case of he cares less about Black people. He gets this attitude concerning minorities, especially Black people and Latinos when topics about them come up on the forum. He never did answer my question, "Maybe the better question is, why are you, thatoneguy, so anti-Black? " I don’t think he will because he either doesn’t want to admit he’s racist or he doesn’t want to admit to himself that he is racist. Either way, he’s not going to answer our questions.

First, about the state of France : We have ideals and values we try to implement and we make progresses.
And i agree:

• we had colonies, we made atrocities and so; the facts begin to become public knowledge;
• there are racist people in France, including in public institutions and police. Nobody’s perfect.
  -French society is unraveling under the weights of communitarianism, some groups on every side preparing the civil war,

I don’t know if France pioneered civil rights, but our founding texts claim the civil rights.

We don’t try to make your problems our own, we have the same. Anyway, we are on the same planet. My reference would be Imagine from Lennon.

And last, when you say : " I dont like …" It seems me to be pure racism, but maybe i am mistaken.

I appreciate the “I” statement here. I’m rather amazed that you remain on this forum, given the above posts. I disagree completely with them and see no reason to even ask what you base them on, since we’ve had many similar discussions before. But, whatever. I hope you are not in a position to hire people or otherwise directly affect lives.

He would make a good case study of racism. He seems to be a typical specimen who has been thoroughly inculcated with racist ideas and the idea that dark skinned people are somehow cursed with dark skin to warn light skinned about their evil nature.

Of course he is completely ignorant of the fact that dark skin is an evolved protection from the sun in tropical environments. Dark skinned people are very resistant to contracting melanoma (skin cancer) and actually are superior in that respect to light skinned people who always need protection from the sun’s UV radiation.

Ironic that dark skinned people like bright sunny days while light skinned people must hide in the shadows, for fear they turn to dust in the sunlight , like vampires.

And you believe that living in the jungle is easier than living in a city? Did you know that 70 % of all modern medicine comes from medicines developed by native medicine men?

I’d like to see you survive a few nights in a tropical jungle. If that superior intellect of yours can save you from things you don’t even know exist. Ignorance only manifests itself in foreign environments.

All living people today are recently evolved. Light skin has nothing to do with intelligence it has to do with exposure to sunlight. Have you noticed that the sun turns your light skin into dark skin? What does that have to do with the brain ?

Education does makes people smart and educated dark-skinned people are just as smart as educated light-skinned people.

It does not look like you are well educated, else you would not exhibit low intelligent behavioral traits. I have talked to black people who were a lot smarter than you seem to be.
