In Trump’s world, debt is not counted as a negative asset, he never plans to pay any debt to begin with. That’s how he can confidently say its the greatest economy ever.

Oh yeah, the Congressional power of the purse. In his coming role as DOTUS, T rump will need to finagle a way around that. He’s pretty much had his way, so far, even eventually absconding money from the military to pay for his border wall. And getting a tax windfall Bill for the wealthy, where they now pay an effective tax rate of 11% (less than many working class folks). But by being above the law, he will likely be able to gut the Congress’s power of the purse, to his advantage.
You haven't been paying close enough attention. He's already done that. He just uses an executive order. As long as Moscow Mitch is in charge and Republicans care more about party and elections than the country there's no way there will ever be a 2/3 majority to stop him. Now only the courts are left to stop them and he's appointed nearly a quarter of the Supreme Court alone. And when he gets a serious enough ruling that doesn't go his way, he WILL eventually at least attempt to fire a Supreme Court justice, if he hasn't already ordered it done to just be ignored thus far. Miller and the rest of the Gestapo are surely working on ways to get it done right now. Republicans play the long game. It's not unthinkable that there's already a plan in motion to justify the eventual removal of Supreme Court judges they don't like.
Wid, The Right already controls the SCOTUS, just not absolutely, yet. But that will be corrected for the Trumpublicans as soon as there is another vacancy, unless a Dem becomes POTUS before that happens.
In the Impeachment trial, the WH lawyer (Dershowitz) has presented that a President cannot be impeached for doing anythingthat is in his own interest, as long as in his mind he believes that what is good for himself is good for the country. When the corrupt Trumpublican Senators vote to acquit T rump, this will be the birth of a new Presidential superpower. (The ability to commit any crime in his own self interest, and being immune from Impeachment for doing so.)
Someone please tell me, then what will prevent our newly arisen DOTUS from committing any crime he wishes in order to insure that the 2020 election is rigged for him to be the victor.
Are we just going to Trust in God that our republic can be saved from the Dictator of the United States (DOTUS)? I don’t think that will be sufficient.
At this point my only hope is that the independent judge delivers a real and fair judgement for the Senate to override. Then at least there will be some authority saying, “Yeah, this is definitely wrong” on the official record. The whole thing was a farce long before it actually began.

The Senate Trumpublicans have successfully blocked any witnesses from appearing in this Impeachment Trial. It is the only Impeachment Trial ever, to not have had witness testimonies. I guess T rump could not find anyone who could truthfully exonerate him. OTOH, new info is coming out in the public everyday which further implicates T rump’s guilt. The Trumpublicans must be desperate to get this Impeachment over with, before any more such info comes out.

I agree with that but I believe he wants to stay neutral so that he does not have to recuse himself later when all this crap ends up in the Supreme Court.

I see this exactly the other way around. Everyone who tries to prop Trump up has gotten their hands dirty and some are in jail, with more to come..

Several of President Donald Trump's close associates have now been convicted of crimes, and many more have engaged in corrupt activity in office.
Why did the president who planned to hire "the best people" end up surrounded by moochers, grifters, and criminals?
Because working for Trump is horrible and unfulfilling — unless you plan to use the job as an opportunity to stuff everything you can in your pockets.

Are you suggesting that we forced foreign aid on underdeveloped countries. The notion that these countries asked for and welcomed our assistence does not occur to you? Cooperation is a foreign term to you?
Does your idea of secular humanism rest on letting people die from malaria and aids or be annexed by neighboring powers? Perhaps you are hoping the rest of the world will kill each other or die from disease, so there is more left for us?
If you want to practice “secular humanism”, you may want to rethink that philosophy.
