How much do you actually have to know for the CFI checkride

Hi all,

I’ve been studying for my CFI-A initial for the past month and have my ride in the next two weeks. As the title says, how much of this info do you actually have to know and spit out? I’m saying this in regards to topics such as aerodynamics, systems and weather, etc. Obviously its important to know all the endorsements and flight instructor responsibilities as well as FOI, but I feel like no matter how much I study this stuff, I still won’t know it all.

LOL

Emmet, I doubt there are many pilots posting on CFI (Center For Inquiry). I have 20 minutes flight time myself, just to get the “feel” of piloting a small plane.

In view of the inherent dangers of flying, I would suggest to learn everything inside out, not to pass a test, but it might save your life someday.

Emmet knows how to fly like a bird. He is just going for a test to qualify as a flight instructor.

Best of luck, Emmet. Pass rate is 70%. With my prayers, you will make it.

So...you pray to...yourself?
