Hatred saturated GOP absolutists - Fetal Heart Beat Laws

Why doesn’t it surprise me, that you’d see the challenge to reread and reconsider your own words as vacuous? Oh yeah you are absolutely and totally testosterone sure of yourself.

One more time for those who care to think about the humanity of it.

Why America’s policies toward mothers need to be fixed

When she went back to work one day after having her second child, author Amy Westervelt realized America’s policies towards mothers need to be fixed. In “Forget Having It All: How America Messed Up Motherhood – and How to Fix It,” Westervelt explores the history of American beliefs about motherhood and offers policy remedies. She recently spoke with NewsHour Weekend’s Megan Thompson.

An unborn fetus is not a Person - it is a beautiful being, sometime its a natural monstrosity, cause things can and do go wrong, therefor god himself (*that’s for those who believe god a person on a throne, watching and listen for who worships him the mostest & bestest) aborts around 20% of conceptions near a doctors can tell, since many early term spontaneous abortions go unnoticed. But you believe that same god demands that you interfere, though you care not a wit for the living people in your equation.

Starry you can toss all the words and insults you can muster - but in the end it is you who totally and absolutely refuses to contempt the complexities of child gestation, or the living grown mother’s health, or the varied realities of the crisis a new human to raise might/and does present to her already stressed existing family circumstance.

For that it’s a cold shoulder and a 'fuk you deal with it. Not my problem."

Oh and besides for all those who think they are God;'s Soldiers, don’t you know there is a happy home in heaven for unborn fetuses - who are you to rob them of that? Oh yeah, from your words it sounds like you believe you can be God. How very odd and ugly totalitarianism is.

Oh and Starry wonder if you could focus on and intelligently responding to a question: What makes abortion the most forgivable sin of all, in your mind?

Heck for that matter, can you give a thoughtful explanation for why you believe a fetus’s life is more important than a mother’s life.

The real irony to all this is that every child born these days, including my soon to arrive third grandchild (though not of my blood, {so far I’m only responsible for one new person in this overcrowded world.} but that doesn’t matter to me, I’ll both celebrate and mourn her birth.),

all these newly born children upon reaching adulthood will be trapped within a world that’s falling apart around them with no end in sight for many millennia to come.

As an aside Starry, don’t suppose you trust scientists and what they tell us about Anthropogenic Global Warming and its inevitable consequences?

But you believe that same god demands that you interfere, though you care not a wit for the living people in your equation.
When did I ever say anything about god? You just make stuff up out of your own prejudices.
you who totally and absolutely refuses to contempt the complexities of child gestation,
Huh? Where are you making that up from? You obviously inhabit some fantasy universe where I believe in god and know nothing about reproduction.
stressed existing family circumstance.
Ok, so it is just find to kill your child if you are stressed by family circumstances. Learn how to think.
What makes abortion the most forgivable sin of all, in your mind?
Elective abortion of a viable human being is neither a sin nor forgivable, it is a crime in most states, and should be in all states.
Heck for that matter, can you give a thoughtful explanation for why you believe a fetus’s life is more important than a mother’s life.
Asked and answered. Obviously, you are the one in need of re-reading.

But just to save you the trouble, it isn’t, and nothing I have said would indicate that I think it is, so learn how to think.

I’ll both celebrate and mourn her birth.
How bizarre.
all these newly born children upon reaching adulthood will be trapped within a world that’s falling apart around them with no end in sight for many millennia to come.
Oh yeah, now I know where I met you before, you are that guy wearing the sandwich sign on the street with "the end is neigh" scrawled on it while you yell at people about how horrible the world has become and it is soon about to get catastrophically worse.
Anthropogenic Global Warming and its inevitable consequences?
Yes, all the major ice caps are going to melt opening up vast areas of new land for cultivation and human occupancy in formerly uninhabitable frozen wastelands of Antarctica, Greenland, Northern Canada, Alaska, and Siberia.

Also, Russia will finally get the year round ice free port they have always wanted.

Stardust may get his fondest wish. In 6 months from now, any abortion in Alabama is to result in a possible 99 yr prison sentence for the doctor who performs it.

The Bill was signed by the governor today. It is apparently a part of a tactic of Pro-Lifers to get the bill before the SCOTUS. Roe v Wade is probably gone, if that happens. Abortion will be illegal in many States.

But even more concerning is this: The SCOTUS that gave us Citizens’ United, and made Money = Speech, and gave Corporations the same right as people to donate to campaigns, THAT SCOTUS was LESS partisan right wing than the current SCOTUS. So if that less biased SCOTUS gave us Money=Speech, and Corporations are People, then our current SCOTUS might well give us A Fertilized Human Egg Has the Same Rights as a born human. For sure, another right winger appointed to the SCOTUS would do the trick.

If that occurs (I am guessing it would probably in Trump’s 2nd term) Abortion will be illegal in all States. No States Rights will pre-empt the rights of the newly declared Human Life Fetus rights.

We are currently 51st among the nations of the world in regards to equality of women. I wonder how far we will drop after that.

@TimB

Stardust may get his fondest wish.
Is it that you aren't very good at making distinctions, or is it just a matter of you not paying attention?

Can you recall where in fetal development I assert human life begins? Hint, the first letters are “b” “f”.

SCOTUS might well give us A Fertilized Human Egg Has the Same Rights as a born human
Does a fertilized egg have a brain? If there is no brain can there be any brain function? Is it possible for you and CC to learn how to think at least clearly enough to answer those 2 questions?

“Yes, all the major ice caps are going to melt opening up vast areas of new land for cultivation and human occupancy in formerly uninhabitable frozen wastelands of Antarctica, Greenland, Northern Canada, Alaska, and Siberia”

Where does the melted ice go?

Hateful, spiteful GOP seems more appropriate all the time.

Alabama governor signs near-total abortion ban into law By KIM CHANDLER and BLAKE PATERSON

“To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious and that every life is a sacred gift from God,” Gov. Kay Ivey said in a statement.

The bill’s sponsors want to give conservatives on the U.S. Supreme Court a chance to gut abortion rights nationwide, but Democrats and abortion rights advocates criticized the bill as a slap in the face to women voters. …

Where does the melted ice go?
Into the ocean, obviously, which is and will cause sea levels to rise and corresponding loss off coastal land. That has all been modeled very accurately and is just a matter of applying the volume of water in the existing ice to the ocean and mapping the new coastlines as a function of topography, water volume, and surface areas.

The loss of coastline is an obvious and incontrovertible fact of melting ice.

The doomsday nut jobs out there don’t seem to realize there will also be huge gains in land opening up, just as obvious, yet somehow this does not fit into the apocalyptic hysteria world view of people like CC so this obvious fact is just ignored.

So lots of land losses??

@CC

Hateful, spiteful GOP seems more appropriate all the time.
You are the hater. What you don't understand you hate.

It has very obviously never occurred to you that those GOP airheads actually believe their ghost stories. They really think a soul somehow pops into the cell at fertilization by the power of an imaginary being that is to them absolutely real, thus they truly believe all fetuses are live human babies.

Theists are not, in general, making it up. Yes, the corrupt televangelists are just con men and women cashing in on the credulity of the masses, but that is just exactly my point, the credulous masses actually believe the ghosts are real.

The credulous masses vote for representatives who say they also believe the ghost stories. The legislators in Alabama are passing this legislation because it has the strong support of the majority of voters in Alabama because they actually believe ghosts are real.

Hate has nothing to do with it, just the opposite. The though of all those poor little “babies” getting hacked to pieces is just horrifying to the average voter in Alabama.

They are the “baby” lovers. You are the ignorant people hater.

I have contempt for the ignorance of both you and the voters of Alabama. They are so ignorant that they believe ghosts are real, and pass laws that harm real people as a result of their superstitious beliefs. You are so ignorant that you do not have a clue as to why they are doing what they do so you stupidly chalk it up to what you imagine is their hatred.

I’m not sure which sort of ignorance is worse, theirs or yours, but I am sure both are contemptible.

@Player

So lots of land losses??
You don't read so well, do you? Losses in some places and gains in other places.

For some reason a lot of people only think about the losses and conclude coastal flooding and changing weather is somehow going to end human civilization, or kill off all human life, or even life on earth altogether in the most hysterical doomsday shrieking versions.

It’s tough trying to dialogue with people who are so entrapped within their bubble. Unborn babies are the most precious thing - once they are born, they can fend for themselves. This the GOP calls love.

Then the stupid stuff people believe about climate change - What you think that melting tundra is going to be ready for plowing in a couple years - ever actually think that one through? No of course not.

Nothing convinces me that we truly heading for a complete catastrophic breakdown, like listening to Faith-Blinded bashing everything they can’t wrap their heads around, and then being so absolutely and totally sure of themselves.

Where’s those concern for precious life there Mr. GOP?

The doomsday nut jobs out there don’t seem to realize there will also be huge gains in land opening up
So, the barren rock of Antarctica formerly buried under ice that has had nothing grow on it for millions of years is going to be the Utopian home for the future of humanity? Do I get that right?
Stardusty Psyche: "Hate has nothing to do with it, just the opposite. The though of all those poor little “babies” getting hacked to pieces is just horrifying to the average voter in Alabama."
You're right.

It’s my knee-jerk reaction towards people who think 180 degrees differently than me, to assume that their emotions are also 180 degrees from mine. But in reality they simply have priorities, beliefs and moral compasses that direct their thoughts and actions towards goals that I think are heinous. There’s no way to reconcile our differences, since we both arrive at our conclusions based on diametrically opposed positions on all relevant topics. So someone is always going to be VERY unhappy no matter the outcome.

The biggest mystery in the universe is how two ‘good’ people can be working towards what they each think is the best world for everyone, yet the features of those two worlds are mutually exclusive in almost every way.

Pretty sure the US is going towards the wrong world at the moment.

Stardusty Psyche: "For some reason a lot of people only think about the losses and conclude coastal flooding and changing weather is somehow going to end human civilization, or kill off all human life, or even life on earth altogether in the most hysterical doomsday shrieking versions."
That attitude is pretty cold and callous. I bet that the millions of people who are killed, displaced, suffer starvation, etc., will disagree (well, maybe not the dead ones.)

Our goal shouldn’t be merely to ensure we don’t become extinct. Maybe we can aim just a wee bit higher and try to prevent a global catastrophe.

Would it be 1 for 1? 1 metre gained vs 1 metre lost? What do you think?
