No doubt I’m a bit cynical, perhaps jaded is a better descriptive, about my Democratic politician “wet noodle” compatriots. Over the decades I’ve listen to too many boring speeches and empty uplifting ones during my stints of activism.
Boy o’ boy, last night showed me Democrats have come a long way in the past decade. Speech after speech hitting all the notes and making their point with a focus and grace that was really impressive.
Like the two young great-nieces explaining, to the slow starters, how to pronounce Kamala’s name, heck watching Kerry get up in that dress without falling was even impressive. I mean it cut to the heart and was Emmy level stuff. Made a hard point in a most gentle manner.

Amara and Leela, two of Vice President Kamala Harris’ nieces, took the main stage Thursday at the Democratic National Convention for a lesson on how to pronounce their aunt’s name.
I don’t know about Debbie’s plan, but it seems to me the plan should include voters not abandoning politics after this election is finished.
We The People need to make our presence know, stay informed and engaged.
Not only to keep track of our politicians and what’s happening in our state and national capitals.
Even more importantly, people need to remain engaged, keep them cards’n letters, and calls, and tweets, etc coming. we provide our politicians with the backbone and realpolitical strength to see through our saner vision of how to govern.
Also, unless we are changing minds, we are still losing. Lotta fellow citizens are due for a rude awakening, and how Democratic politicians and individual citizens deal with them will be significant to future outcomes.
Hopefully by a landslide that carries along both Senate and House, along with various State Houses.
I was going to use this thread to bring up some of the other speeches in particular Kinzinger and Kelly, but others such as this interesting aside.
They ingeniously wonder why Harris won’t debate on faux Fox News, here’s an example of why.

In short Fox News is dishonest, and rabidly partisan.
