War for the West is an opportunity to both make money and stay in power. For the Euro oligarchs exaggerating a “threat” from Russia serves those purposes mainly the latter and they are working hard on the former. Ukraine (i.e., the oligarchs that run it) wants money from the Empire to feather their nests as they lead the sheep/lemmings to slaughter in the ongoing war. Their economy, increasingly, is war.
The USA has shown the path for all to follow–more war, more centralized authority and opportunities to make big unaccountable money. The US oligarchy didn’t and doesn’t care about “winning” war just fighting it works. Propagandizing the public is easy in the US because the propaganda has flowed so thickly since WWII that propaganda has morphed into conscious and unconscious assumptions about the world that are almost totally wrong. Europeans are experiencing the same thing. Western assumptions are toxic not only to the world as a whole but to Western societies. The situation in Gaza proves the moral degeneracy of the West in spite of the fact it believes itself morally superior to the rest of the world as it consistently does precisely the opposite of what it claims to do.

And nobody exaggerates the Russian menace nowadays. It is Russia that has attacked Ukraine. Nobody in Europe except Poutine wanted war.
It is Russia that has launched a cyber war against Europe.
I think that Trump and his cohorts underestimate it. They have suppressed some services specialized in the watching of Russian subversive activities. In fact Trump does not give a dam about the liberal values and share Putin ideology. Putin uses that against West.
And yes, West acts often opposite to its values. It does not exonerate its ennemies of their crimes.
And, about Gaza, Europe has not the means to attack Israel. Trump does not act for ideological reasons.

While Russia pummels ukraine, the shopkeeper in down town Berlin , bologna , Sofia , Valencia , lyon …… who knows nothing or even cares what is happening Ukraine in keeping his head above water in running a business is repeatedly told by their EU lords hey you better watch you backs for after Ukraine , Russia will be after you. And the shopkeeper thinks - i must be scared . Russia must be the enemy to my family.
This Is what is meant by the Euro elites exaggerating the threat.
What should they do? Pull out all support for Ukraine and let Putin have it? Then what? Putin retires, happy with everything he has?
Your position is one that is pushing for direct intervention with NATO troops in ukraine. One - no NATO country wants to commit troops until the war is over. Two - such action will lead to WW3 as those troops will be eliminated by Russia. There were solutions to end the war in the past but they are gone now as the west wanted this proxy war to play out. The only way this war will end is to address the grievances Russia has that they say is its root cause

At the beginning he wrote to NATO to meet and discuss Russia’s concerns . They ignored him hence here we are. Now the west will be forced to give security guarantees
Address them how exactly?
By agreeing to end the war on the condition of addressing Russia grievances. No nato, no nazis in govt and glorification and demilitarisation. Security guarantees for both Ukraine and Russia once this has been put into place

Unreasonable? No problem - the war continues with Ukraine getting hammered even more and losing more territory. And then it will be even more conditions to end the war, so stop the fighting now and save whats left of the country

Alone from NATO. These conditions were given by the russians before the outbreak of war. The donbas was to be autonomous but remain in Ukraine. That is all lost as Ukraine must now accept these same conditions and accept the loss of territory on top.

Now why would you go down that path? USA doesnt do diplomacy . It threatens and carries out those threats through military and economic muscle . That being said , Biden administration refused to meet with Russia before the war started. Are you in favour of USA ground invasion of 
venezuela thats just about to happen? Another illegal act of war on her record. diplomacy? or do i just not understand why ?
It’s the path we’ve been on. The one where you have a view of the world that doesn’t match very well with reality. Lumping Biden and Trump together would be one of the many clues that you are making things up as you go along.
