I would like to see Kamala Harris pick Pete Buttigieg for Secretary of State.
He is the perfect fit for that job…

Makes sense, the guy sure has the smarts for it.
I did not think he would be a good VP pick, but a promotion to Secretary of State seems totally in line with his abilities and potential.
Not going to fix the world’s problems, but at least having a sane, patriotic, intelligent, compassionate team of people at the controls will make a world of difference.

Step down from your utopian heights and Buttigieg looks pretty solid. Not perfect, but hey at least he’s got a brain and a heart and can enunciate his ideas - it’s a good start.

Why didnt Pete get the nod as running mate?
First, because he is better suited as Secretary of State, a brilliant communicator who speaks 7 languages and has a mind and memory like a steel trap.
And second, because there were people like Governor Walz, with deep governing and military experience and know what it takes in case of crisis.

You do not need to be popular to be an effective Secretary of State. You need to be a good diplomat.

This is the 2020 Iowa primary results. It’s not a good benchmark for popularity, but to me, it shows the depth of the Democratic bench. And there are many more.

Totally agree on that. The Democratic Party has not been this promising in a long, long, long time.
We shall, the MAGA’s are going to get absolutely desperate - gonna take some care and empathy and love to keep things from going off the deep end. At least now, I think we have a real chance, We The People is energized and engaged - . . .

I like the finish: Trump is plain exhausting and America is sick of him and bored of him.

In Europe we have a mix of public and private medicine, costs covered by a mix of public and private insurance.
Public insurance is financed by public taxes, paid among other by firms and employees.
