The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2015 was divided, one half jointly to William C. Campbell and Satoshi Omura “for their discoveries concerning a novel therapy against infections caused by roundworm parasites” and the other half to Tu Youyou “for her discoveries concerning a novel therapy against Malaria.”
I don’t know if it’s an award winner, but if the FDA and CDC and WHO approve it for that, then that’s all it should be used for and nothing more. It’s not meant for COVID-19.
Yes, as an effective treatment of parasitic infection, specifically . But that has nothing to do with viruses!
Ivermectin is indicated for the treatment of the following infections:
Strongyloidiasis of the intestinal tract
Ivermectin is indicated for the treatment of intestinal (i.e., nondisseminated) strongyloidiasis due to the nematode parasite Strongyloides stercoralis.
This indication is based on clinical studies of both comparative and open-label designs, in which 64-100% of infected patients were cured following a single 200-mcg/kg dose of ivermectin (See CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY, CLINICAL STUDIES).
Do you know what a nematode is?
Where does it say that Ivermectin is effective against viruses?
Covid is a virus that invades the lungs, not the intestines.
You are either totally ignorant of bio-chemistry and medicine, or you are duplicitous in motive. Both are sufficient to render your personal “opinion” worthless .
You showed me a source that maybe or may not be a reliable source. I never heard of it before and as far as I know, being directed towards farmers, it’s all about horses and cows and vet medicine in 2015. Farmers Almanac Farmers Journal are one in the same to me. Not very reliable for those of us who aren’t farmers tending to the cows, goats, sheep, and horses.
Oh give me a break! It’s all about livestock. I just followed the link. It has nothing to do with humans, unless you’re a farmer tending to them. And it’s still not approved for humans.
William Campbell, a native of Ramelton, Co Donegal, has jointly won this year’s Nobel Prize for his work in discovering Avermectin, a drug that has greatly improved the treatment of infections caused by roundworm parasites in both humans and animals.
Again… It’s NOT for humans as per CDC, FDA, and WHO. So stop with the horse puckies. It’s not for humans full stop. Any human who takes it, especially in veterinary form will die and they have died. What you are saying is horse and cow manure.
No I will not because the FDA, CDC, and WHO have not approved it for humans. Now please stop with the conspiracies and misinformation or I, as a mod, will start warning you because of it.
No I did not! Stop skating . As suspected, you are being duplicitous!
Your citation of the Nobel award has nothing to do with treatment against the Covid virus.
You made it up! And I suspect Mriana is talking about Ivermectin being prescribed for human viral infections. Or for animal viral infections for that matter.
Ivermectin is useless for viral lung infection period. End of story.
You are going nowhere. Your claim that Ivermectin is an effective cure against the Covid virus has been thoroughly debunked . Everything else was in response to your attempts the divert the conversation with false examples of unrelated awards.
My advice? Drop it, before you get in trouble with the mods for trolling. …
