Yes, I can. The congressman was talking about natural gas. Alaska refineries provide most of it’s gasoline. What is not supplied, about 30% comes from the States and Asia. Which is political because right now Alaska is number one in the world of possible and undiscovered oil.
Let me see if I am understanding you. When you are told there is no interest in drilling in a area and only 10% of other areas are active. It signaled that the US was taking the wrong steps for settlement. Now that we see the Russian oil going to China. You can bet that Crimea will not leave Russia without going nuclear. Once the US iron is drilling in Crimea, it may never get back to US soil. That means new rigs will need to be built. And higher gasoline prices for a longer time for us.

There are only untapped reserves. About 40 years worth.
