Alaskan Oil and Gas Leases cancelled

That’s been their MO. Blast so much misleading information that it would take 10-times as long to straighten out the truth as it does to suck in the gullible.

Exactly! They should have done their job or not been in law enforcement to begin with, BUT they didn’t do their jobs because they didn’t care about Latino kids. They saw them as Latino before they saw them as little kids.

You do know vast parts of Alaska is a desert, don’t you? Deserts aren’t just hot places in Arizona, but can also be found around the Arctic circle too. Forests are far and few between in Alaska, unless it’s down in the most southern reaches of Alaska, even then, it’s not covered with trees like the Ozarks in Missouri are.

Let’s start with gun laws then and leave women’s bodies alone.

BTW, I told you this before- the government had to close it due to it being Native American land and the N.A. don’t want the pipeline. They’ve been fighting it. The Water Protectors have been fighting it, Shamen have been fighting it, etc etc.

Ye Olde Gish Gallop.

Yes, I can. The congressman was talking about natural gas. Alaska refineries provide most of it’s gasoline. What is not supplied, about 30% comes from the States and Asia. Which is political because right now Alaska is number one in the world of possible and undiscovered oil.

Let me see if I am understanding you. When you are told there is no interest in drilling in a area and only 10% of other areas are active. That something doesn’t click and you come up with unanswered questions. Please explain to me “WHY” there is no interest in drilling! No interest in drilling happens from time to time. Because of wars and the low price of oil. Brent crude is $119.40 today. Note, drilling in Alaska is done year round. But you can only move the rigs during the winter months. If Biden does start allowing drilling. It could be the the end of 2023 before drilling is resumed. Oil rigs are leased equipment. I would guess many of the stacked rigs are being shipped out of Alaska to areas in the middle east to routed to Russia. China’s largest oil trader is increasing its fleet by five-fold to move more Russian crude. After Exxon and other mega worldwide oil companies moved out of Ukraine because of US actions. It signaled that the US was taking the wrong steps for settlement. Now that we see the Russian oil going to China. You can bet that Crimea will not leave Russia without going nuclear. Once the US iron is drilling in Crimea, it may never get back to US soil. That means new rigs will need to be built. And higher gasoline prices for a longer time for us.

Follow the science.

“No resident shall be denied readmission or admission to [a nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19,” the order reads. Homes “are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for the coronavirus prior to admission or readmission.”

More than 6,000 covid-19 patients were moved back into nursing homes under this policy.

Jan. 28, 2021: New York Attorney General Letitia James for the first time releases complete data on the number of nursing home-related deaths seen in New York during the pandemic.

“[A] larger number of nursing home residents died of COVID-19 than the New York State Department of Health’s (DOH) published nursing home data reflected and may have been undercounted by as much as 50 percent,” a news release states. “The investigations also revealed that nursing homes’ lack of compliance with infection control protocols put residents at increased risk of harm, and facilities that had lower pre-pandemic staffing ratings had higher COVID-19 fatality rates.”

And why was the Alaska congressman upset about that?

Biden shut down Keystone on day one. You must be saying Biden is the government. That’s authoritarian rule.

There is no undiscovered oil. We know about the oil reserves in Alaska.
There are only untapped reserves. About 40 years worth.

After that, any oil will be practically unrecoverable. When will you admit that oil is a “limited resource”. In a few centuries, we have recovered more oil that has been naturally sequestered over millions, if not billions of years.

There will be an end to oil. Make your peace with that fact.

U.S. Holds Most Recoverable Oil Reserves - American Oil & Gas …

Who has the most untapped oil in the world?

the United States

possible and undiscovered), the United States is at the top of the list with 264 billion barrels of recoverable oil reserves, followed by Russia with 256 billion, Saudi Arabia with 212 billion, Canada with 167 billion, Iran with 143 billion, and Brazil with 120 billion (Table 1).

Listen to yourself. Just do the math . You cannot be that naive.

Summary Table
Oil Reserves…1,650,585,140,000 barrels
Oil Consumption…35,442,913,090 barrels per year
Oil Consumption…97,103,871 barrels per day
Reserves/Consumption…47 (years left) (at current consumption levels)

There is more listed than you cited, but it is good for at most 47 years, assuming that consumption does not increase at all.

Because it fits the faked narrative that makes you mad and gets votes. You’ve been duped into giving them your power

I didn’t name President Biden. I didn’t name any names.

That does not include what could be the biggest find in the world today off the coast of Crimea. The north and south pole have yet to be searched. Antarctica alone is the size of the United States and Mexico combined. Offshore oil makes up 37 percent of the global oil production and more than eighty percent of the oceans are unmapped, unobserved, and unexplored as by Feb 2021 according to NOAA.

So what?
Are you saying there could be oil anywhere out there?

Hint, continental shelf underlies about 7% of the ocean surface.

I’ll let you puzzle it out mikey.

So what. We have the technology to drill off the continental shelfs. In the Gulf of Mexico for example the ocean floor is two mile down. It is not about running out of oil. That is just a political talking point. Oil is a commodity. Like all commodities. Oil will end when it is economically not feasible to produce and the government will not make it feasible. You can see that taking place today. The Biden administration has made much of today’s drilling an economic risk. So new drilling has stopped. The question today is the recession that was caused by the coronavirus being continued by the Biden’s green deal to the point it may take decades to recover and we will be at risk of high inflation the whole time.

Why was the Keystone pipeline canceled?

Many had hoped that the disastrous project was finally done for in November 2015, when the Obama administration vetoed the pipeline— acknowledging its pervasive threats to climate, ecosystems, drinking water sources, and public health .Mar 15, 2022

Mike, why is it that you always come up with the wrong slant on the news and without citation ?

[/quote]And that is bad for who? People, Ocean life, Air pollution?

Do you know what is bad for people? Oil, Coal!

Coronavirus is definitely bad for people, but we can’t even see them. Are you going to blame Biden for Corona?

Don’t know much about oil geology do you schmarity pants?

And the deepest oil rig in the world is in the Gulf of Mexico and it reaches about 1 1/2 miles down before hitting sand.

Hopefully a little picture will help clear the fog, but really Mike, you keep making yourself out to be such an expert, but a itty bitty bit of fact checking has this way of stripping all that facade away from your pretense.

Now I gotta wonder if you even understand the difference between oceanic crust and continental crust?

Besides the twisted understanding of economics here, what you are saying, and this is often the case, goes against all of the experts in oil exploration. For me to believe you, I would have to not believe everyone who makes a living searching for oil.

Trump.

You answered your own question. “Slant”. It is a waste of time to post sources that don’t promote the Democrat viewpoint. For example the nrdc you posted is just a political viewpoint. It’s like you need your fix for the day. If I told you the NSA fought to keep oil from going to China and the pipeline is part of the cold war on control of the earth’s resources. There is no way you would understand. You backed China, that is where the oil is headed. You got what you voted for. Stop complaining. This next year of side effects of high inflation you caused will set the ecosystems of the world opposite of where you are claiming you want to reach. What is driving you? Greed or desire to be part of the upper elite?
