These are Hate Groups currently operating in the US. Track them below with our Hate Map.

All hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics.

Hate group activities can include criminal acts, marches, rallies, speeches, meetings, leafleting or publishing.
Rise of Hate Groups
The SPLC has documented an explosive rise in the number of hate groups since the turn of the century, driven in part by anger over Latino immigration and demographic projections showing that whites will no longer hold majority status in the country by around 2040. The rise accelerated in 2009, the year President Obama took office, but declined after that, in part because large numbers of extremists were moving to the web and away from on-the-ground activities. In the last two years, in part due to a presidential campaign that flirted heavily with extremist ideas, the hate group count has risen again.

Not allow free speech to command us to tolerate hate, evil, and prejudice. At some point we need to realize, we are relinquishing more and more freedom everyday for the sake of “security”; if we must give up these freedoms why not traded them for soŕmething worthwhile. The idea of security is great, but if the main goal were a utopian society, then security would be a byproduct and maybe that trade off would be for something substantial.

Christian Picciolini is a wise fellow, he says a few things worth listening to in this interview:

One things leads to another, fact checking don't you know
Murder and Extremism in the United States in 2015 An Anti-Defamation League Report https://www.adl.org/sites/default/files/documents/assets/pdf/combating-hate/Murder-and-Extremism-in-the-United-States-in-2015-web.pdf When it came to domestic terrorism and extremism, the year 2015 was a grisly one for the United States. In the past twelve months, the names of a number of American cities became unwelcome shorthand for the carnage that extremist killers wreaked in them: Charleston, Chattanooga, Colorado Springs, San Bernardino. Each of these cities became scenes of tragedy and death, thanks to the cold"hearted ideological motivations of angry killers. It is thus no surprise that these and other domestic extremist killers have collectively amassed a higher number of victims in 2015 than in any previous year since 1995, the year of the Oklahoma City bombing. Preliminary tallies by the Anti"Defamation League’s Center on Extremism indicate that a minimum of 52 people in the United States were killed by adherents of domestic extremist movement in the past 12 months.
