Your best prediction for the presidential election

If by some chance it comes down to Trump vs. Clinton.... I'm voting Trump. Not that it matters. The Caucus will choose Clinton for the Primary(nomination) and the Caucus will choose Hillary in the Blue State I live in for the General Election. I'll take Trump over Clinton for the obvious reasons. We'll get far more for our entertainment dollar out of Trump. And that's all it is anyways. Entertainment. I would like Sanders to be our next President.
Hey! Vyazma, You're here. Glad you're still around. Wouldn't it be grand if Bernie were our next POTUS? We can only dream. And then wake up to find that it will either be Hillary or ____________? (Not Trump, thank goodness. And I literally mean, thank goodness. I would consider voting for him in the primaries, as his nomination would insure a general election victory for the Democrats. I admit having been entertained by Trump, but his schtick is getting stale. He may have jumped the shark by mocking a man with a disability. Of course he is lying, and saying he didn't. But lying and reversing his lie, and lying about lying, all within a few sentences, hasn't hurt him yet. So who knows?) I live in a red State, so my general election vote won't matter, either.

I think there's more to the schtick. I could be wrong. Maybe his schtick is nothing more than calculated PR moves... a means to an end? He's going the populist route from the conservative angle. That means he has to take it down to 9th grade level.(for the populist route) I believe he's the only one who isn't an ideological zealot. Or a stuffed shirt, puppet. I could be wrong. In any case I despise Clinton like alot of Left-wingers...that's nothing new. Settling for the lesser of two evils makes absolutely zero sense in the economic/political framework we have here. The New Left(and the Dems by proxy) is absolutely curtains anyways. It's been hijacked and co-opted by lot's of interests that I have no interest in.

:cheese: Well thank you. Good to see you again as well.

A thought occurred to me recently: That Trump's appeal may lie, in great part in his presentation to the public as an alpha male. Thus the urge to buy into his "I'm the smartest. I can make all the right deals. I can solve all of the problems. I can make America great again. Believe me." may be rooted in our evolved tendencies to follow such a man. Ironically, it seems to me to be a rather dependent stance for people whose ideology is supposedly one of rugged individualism. I tend to agree that Trump is not an ideological zealot. I'm not picking up that he has any real ideology, other than Trumpism, perhaps. He, surely, does not seem to be a puppet. But, in the general election, (where I sincerely doubt that Trump will be, but either way), accepting the greater of two evils, does not seem to me to be a wise strategy.

Right! And that's what lot's of people are sick and tired of-ideology. They're getting sick of dogmas. They're getting sick of political correctness from both angles. They getting sick of News outlets towing the line of politicians and politicians towing the line for the news outlets. I think lot's of average GOP voters are slowly realizing that alot of wool has been pulled over their eyes. In other words, partly they want something done on the wedge issues the GOP has led them along with for decades. Not just lip service, while the Real GOP continues to widen the wealth disparity.

If you are concerned about wealth disparity, Donald's tax plan, purportedly, would result in a 21.6% after tax wealth increase for the top 1%, while poor Americans would get a 1.4% increase. http://www.msnbc.com/melissa-harris-perry/watch/trump-tax-plan-shines-light-on-wealth-disparity-537987651613 Seems to me that Donald is doing his own wool-pulling-over-eyes.
