You are your own inner guru, who needs to get out more

Kumare, the movie]
Just watched this really amazing movie, a documentary, about a guy who pretends to be a guru, gets in way over his head, and ends up really teaching something about finding your own truth.
It was painful for the first half. There was a lot of woo talk and people looking completely stupid, including an “acoustic theologian” out in the desert somewhere who had all sorts of weird devices to shake up your chakras. But when he starts to work on his exit strategy, he says perfectly true statements about how you don’t need gurus. They all see this as some sort of Buddhist koan, but of course it’s true.
There are several times when you can see how easy it would have been for him to manipulate the situation for personal gain. He makes it look easy.
It’s on Netflix.
