What this world needs is Free Unrestricted Capitalism?

No one can accurately deny the benefits of Capitalism for the world, in expanding civilization and enhancing the quality of lives of so many.
So what do you say? Let’s try ending all governmental interference with Capitalism and ending all governmentally socially funded programs? Maybe the marvelous good things that Capitalism provides would make everything even better, if it were given a chance.

Yeah, like the subprime real estate mortgage bonds. Those worked well until the market collapsed and governments had to bail out banks.

Well, the problem could be that all the children of the world have not been imbued by their parents with Free Unrestricted Capitalistic Knowledge. (And despite the acronym that it suggests, might this not be a good thing?)

Well, now that you put it like that I can see your point. Parents, time to get your kids knowledged up!

That may be true for children in *developed* (industrialized) countries, but I doubt that *forest dwellers* practice that philosophy. As I understand it, the first imperative of such societies is respect for nature and its natural gifts. For instance, when salmon begin their run back to spawning grounds, Native Americans have a tradition that the first fish caught is released back into the river, assuring that at least one salmon will reach its spawning ground and reproduce. A fundamental conservation practice. I always thought this was a exceptional example of respect for Nature's *gifts*.

(And clearly their way of life got them pummeled when they faced free unrestricted capitalists.) Notice how I am kicking your butt with the logic of Free Unrestricted Capitalistic Knowledge?

But seriously speaking, I appreciate your opinion.

No one seems to be taking the bait, er, I mean, opportunity to discuss this topic with all of its possible ramifications for making our world great. Think about it. With completely Free Unregulated Capitalism (FUC), there would be ZERO taxes (because taxes are an impediment to FUC).
No governmentally funded entities of any kind would exist. No more govt funded: education, fire departments, police departments, military, health programs, food subsistence, courts, jails, research, regulations of industry, or even governmental institutions themselves. We could still have all of those things, but only to the extent that individuals deem them to be worth paying for. If any are deemed worth paying for by private citizens, FUC, has the advantage of promoting competition amongst those who would provide such services.

Ooooh! FUC sound awesome! Me like FUC! **To be read in a Tarzan voice.** How can a system based on competition, the accumulation of individual wealth and our individual desires EVER go wrong [he said in the most sarcastic voice he could muster]? **Edited to delete some mystery words.**

I'm sure Well, thanks for your support? Just think of it. No more nanny state. No more govt funded "Social" (yuck) Security. No More govt funded Veterans Administration. No more govt funded (and controlled) education. No more govt funded court systems. No more govt funded prisons. No more govt. funded police and fire departments. No more govt funded military. No more govt funded infrastructure. No more govt funded CIA, NSA, FBI, DHS, etc. No more govt funded research or actions re: diseases and epidemics. No more govt funded anything, no more regulations of anything that limits FUC, not even govt. funded government. Without the evils of and the burdens of socialist (yuck!) institutions such as these... what a beautiful world FUC could bring us.

My mantra has always been "Rules are for Losers!!" I'm teaching my kids to chant it in school when the teacher starts to talk about evilution (I pay taxes, so why aren't they teaching the alternative?). FUC can't come fast enough for me so all schools are finally private (and therefore free and unbiased). I just hope I can afford to send my kids since I'm not wealthy. **Edited to fix a stupid error. I can't seem to post without a typo!!**

Yes and we can do away with that once a year trip to the DMV , and the little toll booths on every corner of a privately maintained street will be so cute.

And screw police departments. I want a house full of guns to protect my family from the burglars brave enough to get past our dogs.
Ummm, who can I hire to clean up the messes after I shoot the burglars?

With FUC in effect, there will likely be many many more shootings, so the free market will create a new line of businesses to address the problem and reduce unemployment - 'body removal and body effluent cleaning services'. There doesn't seem to be a problem that FUC can't solve!

So you are suggesting we take away the power of the people to set rules and let the Donald Trumps ( who would likely ignore building codes) , Bill Gates and Steve Jobs (both of whom tried to create monopolies that would squash competition and innovation) and similar wealthy power moguls play by whatever rules best fit their needs. How careful do you think GM, Ford, Boeing, and 3M would be about making sure the work place was safe and free of dangerous occupational exposures. Free enterprise would possibly do better if left unencumbered by regulation but better for who? Their main goal is profits, not necessarily innovation or employee or societal well being. Just look at the period of the industrial revolution before many of these regulations were in effect and you can see that for the average person it was not a positive thing.

Who needs clean air and safe cars anyway? We want cheap junk that kills us!

That kind of thinking may lead us down the road to ruin of horrible despotic Communism. Are you a Democratic Socialist? But seriously, Bill Gates seems like a good guy to me.

My question is, what the fuc is going on here?

Yeah!!! Freedom!!!

Honestly, I was in a dialogue in another thread with a guy who was giving me crap about a statement that I made suggesting that unregulated capitalism is not a good thing. It was in an introductory thread, so not really appropriate for the discussion. So I opened this thread to give him and anyone else an opportunity to support the idea of unregulated capitalism. The guy hasn't shown up, yet. In the meantime, I am being a facetious dick.
