Many of the congressional Republicans who are praising President Donald Trump's decision to strike a Syrian airfield were opposed to President Obama's request to approve a similar action against Syria in 2013.
Trump ordered the launch of more than 50 tomahawk cruise missiles on Thursday in retaliation for Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad's reported use of chemical weapons against his own people. In August of 2013, after Assad used chemical weapons in a similar scenario against people in the Syrian city of Ghouta, Obama requested congressional permission to launch air strikes against the Assad regime.
Many Republicans opposed his request. One of the most prominent was Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who on Friday tweeted out his support for Trump's strike, writing, "This was a clear signal from America that Bashar al Assad can no longer use chemical weapons against his own people with impunity."
For a black Democrat president it was wrong, but for a white republican president - closely linked to Putin - it's perfectly fine. Bunch of Hypocrites...

Trump’s own words are coming back to haunt him, he was constantly attacking Obama for many of things and worse he is now doing.
Over the last two weeks, President Trump has attacked Syria without congressional approval, ratcheted up the use of force in Afghanistan with a huge bomb, and moved to reverse the Obama administration's policy of releasing White House visitor logs.
Each of these actions runs completely counter to the views and values once espoused by Trump on Twitter. And they join an amazingly long — and growing — list of old Trump tweets that have become eerily applicable to Trump's own presidency in ways that scream “hypocrisy."
Then we get to Saudi Arabia where Obama’s slight bow while shaking the king’s hand was evidence he was showing a “shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate” according to Trump and the republicans.
That’s the same king that W. kissed and held hands with and when Trump met the Saudi king in May he not only bowed but curtsied when he received an award from the king.
That’s before we get to the fact that Trump is actually showing a “shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate” who he likely worked with to get elected to office in the first place. Obama didn’t work with another foreign leader let alone a hostile one to get elected. Saudi Arabia doesn’t have nukes pointed at American cities, Russia does. And Trump, Sessions, Flynn, Kushner, Manafort, Prince and more have all been linked to Putin and the Russian government in one form or another.
Trump is the biggest hypocrite in American history and likely one of the biggest traitors already, what if that suddenly got much worse, we don’t even know how deep his obligation to Putin goes or what the Russians may demand from a man they placed in the Oval Office. Trump fired the director of the FBI the day before he meet with Russian officials, at the time Comey was investigating Trump’s ties to Russia in defense of America.
Trump has no justification to criticize anyone just as he has no real justification for holding the office of president. He’s Putin’s man, not America’s.
Which really does make him the biggest hypocrite in the world right now. Remember how Hitler based his rule on the “Big Lie”
That is Trump.
This also extends to the first ladies, Michelle Obama was roundly condemned for not covering her head in Saudi Arabia… something the currently first lady also didn’t do.
Where is the conservative outrage over this?
Hmmm, what could be the difference between the two families, makes you wonder. It couldn’t be due to race, not in America where that isn’t an issue. Except of course if you’re a black person who gets murdered by the police for doing exactly the the same thing white Americans take for granted like upholding their 2nd. Amendment rights. For instance if you’re a black guy in a car and get pulled over by the police and inform the officer that you’re carrying a licensed firearm then, BLAM!.. you’re shot dead without hesitation. And the cop walks.
Or if you’re a black US president then nothing you do is right and according to some people you’re not even president because you were born in Africa.
The current president who likely is only in office because the Russian government wanted him there and has ties to the Russian government that are troubling to say the least was the harshest critic of America’s first black president, claming he wasn’t even born in America with zero evidence. Now he’s doing exactly and worse what he constantly attacked Obama for doing. With plenty of evidence of his collusion with the Russians.
And conservatives across the country just applaud him… what a joke.
