I didn’t notice any stories in US media about this; but it sounds like we lost one of ours.

Huh. Sounds like he was kind of an Indian version of James Randi.

Kinda sad that a critically thinking person died. Takes a lot of guts to abandon what one was raised with, as this man did.
May not agree with everything he taught, but his emphasis on not confusing cheap tricks for the supernatural is quite interesting.
