Well, I also read The Economist (Now that’s expensive!). I have seen where you seem to dislike “college formed” statements, but I find comfort in reading what experts are saying.
I love to look for both internal and external consistency in my reading materials. They are generally in line with the mainstream media (but much deeper).
What are your sources of information, Mike?
So, what is the AAAS doing to promoting cooperation among scientists to get the science right?
Science has given me Chicken Little catastrophic political talk on climate science. It’s actions that count. The scientists say we got until the year 2000. Wait, that did not work. They now say we got into the year 2012 to get this done or we will be past the point of no return. They say they are right this time and there will be nothing we can do to fix the problem. If we pass the deadline without zero carbon in place. The earth is doomed.
This is not a hard subject to deal with.
If science can tell me that I need to change my life and our country needs to change its way of life to meet mankind’s goal of taking care of the earth and the living being on earth. Then I am all for that. But first I get to ask a few questions. Is that not fair? We had better hurry and not mess around or 2012 will be here before you know it.
I am told we must get this done right a way because if we don’t then we hit the point of no return where no matter what we do we cannot stop the earth warming.
I have heard mankind does better in a warmer earth. Is warming bad?
Well guess what. Every prediction made by scientists has been wrong. Each new prediction has been given a longer due date. We are now working with 2100.
Even the temperature point of no return has been passed. No problem. Just raise the temperature point of no return to a higher level. And you call that real science. As far as answering if mankind is better off on a warmer earth, not a subject of interest for science.
The advantage that was given to the word “science”. Has been used up.

CC, the climate works in cycles. That is all you are showing.
What I have ask you many times before and never get an answer to is do you understand the climate history of Lags and Jumps. As your point that the earth is getting hotter. That just proves what the weatherman told us would happen back in the 1980.
The argument seems to be. Yes the earth is getting hotter. But it is getting hotter to fast. And that could be caused by gasses in the air. The problem is that they can’t make the gasses match the heat at a level that a computer model can work with.
History shows us earth warms and then gasses rise. Even when earth cools and has high levels of gasses. The gasses has not always been able to keep the earth warm in past history.
As the people you called deniers in the past were saying that we have to look at the cycles of earth and sun. And how the clouds operate in the cooling. You were going along with the sun being a constant and the clouds having no affect. Today we know that is not true. The heating wave length of the sun are in cycles. And the clouds have a cooling affect. Now that climate science is following what the deniers were talking about. Does that make you a denier?

My biggest mistake over the years was to back the ICCP. I thought all the scientists working together would be wonderful. Boy was I wrong. It was my mistake in not understanding that the ICCP is not about what is causing climate change. Its task is to tell the government how to deal with climate change if it should happen. If no climate change, then no need for the ICCP.
Global Warming is a natural cycle. If the public can’t tell the difference between Global Warming and Climate Change. Then the ICCP will have a job forever.
Everything affects climate. Lawyers are in line waiting to sue deep pockets over climate change. They just need some fact that can be proven. The lawyers keep chipping away. Now if a cow farts they want to be able to sue. EU is taxing cow farts. Remember everything affects climate. You breathing affects climate. Do think you should be taxed to breath? It coming if we don’t take a logical stand.
Last week it was so cold in places that sea waves froze in motion. That didn’t make headline news like the heat wave.
If the ICCP is only about the affects of Climate Change then who is researching the causes of Climate Change. For example. Neutrinos. The ICCP said fifteen years ago that neutrinos are not matter so they have not affect on climate. Ten years ago neutrinos were proven to be matter. ICCP still does not recognize neutrinos could have a part in climate. Why should they. It is not part of their job. It is the deniers that have an interest in what causes Global Warming and Climate Change.
Remember it only takes 10K years to put the earth in the coldest part of an ice age. And 70K years to warm us up again. We are one Climate Jump away from climate reversal. The good news is that Lags are 200 to 400 years long. So, we should have some time before we have a Jump.
Also note: The Climate Spiral you posted shows an increase in warmth. The thinking on this is that Hunga Tonga volcano is causing the warmth. The volcano put 150M tons of water really high in the atmosphere. 20M has come down, but the rest is still there. Javier Vinos is done research on this. And it shows that since 1980, 13 years have broken the temperature record. But the 2023 record is extra big. Vinos claims it is caused by the volcano. Sulfate aerosols in the Northern Hemisphere have been found. History shows this also happened in 1815 with Mount Tambora eruption.
And that makes it unworthy of consideration?
Well, we are seeing the results of our neglect today, and the worst is yet to come.

In fact, “natural selection” tends to punish those who remain ignorant and do not respect natural processes.

How many state trial cases do you know of that have gotten to the House Floor for constitutional reasons?
The House wants the Supreme Court to look at this case.
It is when the stakes are billions of dollars in profits by the people who rape the earth. We have about 40 years of oil left in the world.
When we run out, we better have something to keep things running or there will be devastation the likes of which we have never experienced.
