Well yes if you drill down to a certain level both of their stances are “pro-death”. But even to them, on a simple level, you’d think they’d realize their stances are contradictory - pro-choice when it comes to guns, anti-choice when it comes to pregnancy.

Speaking of which, I just watched a couple sci-fi movies from the 50’s. Male domination and female submission was built into the culture at the time. No wonder men of a certain age are the way they are. These were mainstream “popular at the time” movies and they are cringe worthy now, but accepted in those days. Unfortunately, as you mention, and this great book Jesus and John Wayne is all about it, that’s how the right likes it and what they want to get back to.
