Republican tactics - a closer look.

The problem is - how many Americans are actually informed enough and curious enough to care?

I really do feel like I’m watching the ‘Frog on the Range’ test in action, and it’s true, by-n’large we don’t notice the temp.

Quite like watching sheep slowly being led to slaughter, or is that sacrifice? Like that makes any difference.

How do you like the weasel words - “seems to suggest.” ? Did he or didnt he?

Weasel words is all politicians and the media use these days.

Your point?

My friend. Why would anti trump MSNBC frame this story in such a way? Do you agree with them?

Oh he was just kidding

or

He was just playing a part on stage, like an actor

or

His words were taken out of context.

Or …

What other spineless reasons will they have to dodge standing up behind the words they speak?

Why would anti trump MSNBC frame this story in such a way? Do you agree with them?
I don't care how MSNBC frames their story as long as it exposes Trump as the fraud he has been all his life.

All you need is to Google Trumps bio a see how this loser has squandered his 400 million dollar inheritance, 6 bankruptcies while bragging that he made a profit on stiffing his creditors, and in general being a cheap reality TV show personality. He has not succeeded in anything everrrrrr! Including being president. Look at his record…look!!! He is a stone cold loser in every respect.

How anyone can believe that this fraud cares for the welfare of the Nation is just a total mystery to me. Trump IS the BIG LIE!!!

Is it not obvious that everyone who serves Trump ends up in jail ? Trump corrupts everything he touches. Listen to his erstwhile lawyer who did time in prison for things he did on Trump’s behalf. 8 other close associates have been charged with crimes committed on Trump’s behalf.

And to top it off, Trump is responsible for sedition and insurrection against the people he swore to serve as president and the corruption of the Republican party which tried to legislate in service of the people who elected them in accordance to the Constitution . This once proud party has been reduced to a gang of muckrakers and money grubbing sleazeballs.

If I were religious I would call this demon a servant of the devil, the great deceiver!!! Where he walks flower wilt and things die!

Officials in Surry County, North Carolina, voted to remove Coca-Cola machines from all government facilities in response to the beverage company CEO's remarks about Georgia's controversial new voting law.

Commissioner Ed Harris provided “TODAY” Digital with the copy of a letter he sent Quincey, calling out the company’s “corporate political commentary favoring the Democratic party” and announcing the decision to remove Coca-Cola machines from government facilities.

So is that an admission by Harris that the voter suppression laws passed in GA favor republicans?

A multi-billion dollar company is hardly going to be affected by the loss of machines in a handful of buildings. Who is really hurt (and probably not that much) is the local area salesperson.

Good thinkin’ Eddy!

Republican-led Michigan State Senate Oversight Committee that thoroughly debunks

“No evidence” of fraud: Michigan GOP committee rejects Trump’s “ludicrous” claims
Republican-led committee urges state attorney general to prosecute those pushing election lies “for their own ends”

Republican-led election investigation in Michigan that was pushed by former President Donald Trump found no evidence of widespread fraud and called on the Democratic attorney general to investigate those that have pushed false claims “to raise money or publicity for their own ends.”

The Michigan Senate Oversight Committee released a report by Chairman Ed McBroom, a Republican, on Wednesday that debunked numerous claims pushed by Trump and his allies about the state’s election, which President Joe Biden won by more than 150,000 votes.

“The Committee found no evidence of widespread or systemic fraud in Michigan’s prosecution of the 2020 election,” the 35-page report says, adding that voters “should be confident the results represent the true results of the ballots cast by the people of Michigan.”

Trump had pushed for the report for months, falsely claiming in a statement as recently as May that Biden “miraculously” received a dump of nearly 150,000 votes that swung the state overnight after the election. …

REPORT ON THE NOVEMBER 2020 ELECTION IN MICHIGAN I. INTRODUCTION

Beginning on Nov. 7, 2020, the Senate Oversight Committee (the “Committee”) commenced an inquiry into claims of election fraud and impropriety. Chair McBroom made clear that the purpose of this inquiry was not to change the outcome of the election for President of the United States. Rather, the goal of the Committee was to provide elected officials and Michigan residents a better understanding of where the administration of elections can be reformed and strengthened, ensuring that Michigan citizens can have confidence in our election processes. This report contains findings and suggestions developed from 28 hours of testimony from almost 90 individuals spanning nine committee hearings, the review of thousands of pages of subpoenaed documents from multiple government entities, hundreds of hours of Senate staff investigation, and countless reviews of claims and concerns from Michigan residents. A detailed examination of all evidence presented to the Committee established an undeniable conclusion; while there are glaring issues that must be addressed in current Michigan election law, election security, and certain procedures, there is no evidence presented at this time to prove either significant acts of fraud or that an organized, wide-scale effort to commit fraudulent activity was perpetrated in order to subvert the will of Michigan voters.

II. ACTIONS AND OBJECTIVES

The Committee’s primary objective was to produce an informative and actionable report by undertaking the following actions: 1) Investigate claims of impropriety, fraud, error, and mismanagement of certain election processes; 2) Determine whether any of the claims brought forward were substantiated by evidence; and 3) Identify areas of Michigan election law where reform or an updating of the statute may be required in order to ensure transparency and confidence in the election process. The Committee made it clear that first-person accounts reporting alleged improprieties were given higher value as evidence to address these claims, in addition to professional and expert testimony regarding the technical operation of state and local election procedures and vote tabulation.

III. ISSUES AND ALLEGATIONS

“Another special assistant to the president is Max Miller, 29, a Marine reservist and former Trump campaign worker…Miller said he attended Cleveland State University from 2007 to 2011. A Cleveland State spokesman confirmed that Miller, who previously attended other schools, graduated in 2013… In 2007, he was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after punching another male in the back of the head and running away from police, police records show…In 2009, he was charged with underage drinking, a case that also was later dismissed under a first offenders’ program. The following year, he pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge related to another altercation in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. That episode was related to a fight involving Miller shortly after leaving a hookah bar at about 2 a.m. one morning. During the fight, Miller punched through a glass door, cut his wrist and left a trail of blood as he wandered off, a police report said.”

The incumbent, Anthony Gonzales (R), had voted to impeach.

However, the district is predicted to be eliminated as a result of the 2020 census. I imagine that would be accomplished by vengeful GOP gerrymandering.

Enabling Act of 1933

image

Hitler’s Reichstag speech promoting the bill was delivered at the Kroll Opera House, following the Reichstag fire.

The Enabling Act of 1933, officially titled (Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich) “Law to Remedy the Distress of People and Reich”, was a law that gave the German Cabinet—most importantly, the Chancellor— the powers to make and enforce laws without the involvement of the Reichstag or consult with Weimar President Paul von Hindenburg.

Critically, the Enabling Act allowed the Chancellor to bypass the system of checks and balances in the government and these laws could ignore individual rights prescribed in the Weimar Constitution.

By clearing the political arena of anyone willing to challenge him, Hitler submitted a proposal to the Reichstag that would immediately transfer all legislative powers to the chancellor. This would in effect allow Hitler’s government to act without concern to the constitution.

The majority of Germans did not vote for the Nazi party, as Hitler’s total vote was less than 45%. In order for the enabling act to be passed the Nazis implemented a strategy of coercion, bribery, and manipulation. Hitler removed any remaining political obstacle so his coalition of conservatives, nationalists, and National Socialists built the Nazi dictatorship.

The passing of the Enabling Act is significant in German and world history as it marked the formal transition from the democratic [Weimar Republic] to the totalitarian Nazi dictatorship.

From 1933 onwards Hitler continued to consolidate and centralize power via purges, and propaganda. The Hitlerian purges reached their height with the [Night of the Long Knives] Once the purges of the Nazi party and German government concluded, Hitler had total control and authority over Germany and began the process of [rearmament]. Thus began the political and military struggles that ultimately culminated in the [Second World War.]

How GOP Is Making Money Off ‘Morally Obscene’ Anti-Vax Grift

Independent journalist Marcy Wheeler joins a discussion on Special Counsel John Durham’s court filing, which says tech exec Rodney Joffe ‘exploited’ his access to computer data at the Trump White House to find ‘derogatory information’ about President Donald Trump.

JOHN DURHAM CHOSE TO MEET WITH JOHN RATCLIFFE RATHER THAN WITNESSES NECESSARY TO HIS INVESTIGATION

The evidence continues to mount that John Durham has done an epically incompetent investigation. I’ll pull together all that evidence later this week.

But one that I find hilarious and shocking can’t wait.

“A piece written by the Fox News propagandist who played a key role in magnifying Kash Patel’s false claims over the weekend credulously continues the Murdoch effort to jack up the frothers by claiming that — rather than letting statutes of limitation expire with no charges — Durham has instead sped up his investigation. Fox also cites a single source claiming that Durham’s investigation has been run very professionally. …”

… The latest “evidence” comes via a court filing by special counsel John Durham, who was tasked by former attorney general William P. Barr to investigate the roots of the FBI counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. Since being appointed special counsel 16 months ago, after a preliminary investigation lasting 17 months, Durham has filed two indictments. Every subsequent court filing is scrutinized carefully by right-leaning media, sometimes in misleading ways.

For instance, Fox News has reported that Durham alleged that Clinton’s “presidential campaign in 2016 had paid to ‘infiltrate’ servers belonging to Trump Tower and later the White House.” But the word “infiltrate,” even though it is in quotes, appears nowhere in Durham’s filing. Instead that word comes via Kash Patel, a former Trump administration official who offered his own spin on the document.

The Durham filing says much less than what Trump claims. Thus far, Durham has not charged anyone with spying on Trump. In fact, the statute of limitations has already expired for a key meeting cited in the filing. …
