Rednecks Were Taken in by a Carpetbagger like Trump

Not to say that Clinton didn’t run a totally disgusting pathetic campaign and CLINTON did lose the election by her disconnect from voters - when she had the potential of winning by an overwhelming margin had she ever actually spoken to We The People with a clear message that connected. People where begging for it, but the stone cold political machine couldn’t produce.

However, without Breitbart’s, and FAUXNew’s, and Limbaugh et al. beating of fabrications and self-serving fantasies, supercharged by Russian trolls, not to mention all of trump’s dirty money - the narcissist dishonest unAmerican pig would have been on the escalator to the basement.

We all did this to ourselves. That’s why I really fear for the future, it’s like there’s no turning back. There’s a reason for the “slippery slope” warning.

Oh and the Clintons also helped lose the critically important Gore election - but we Democrats, top and bottom, don’t worry too much about learning from history, and our grievous mistakes of judgement, do we?

Oh, and where the hell is Obama, the great orator? Hiding behind his white bread pajama party, the so-called “Organizing for Action.” As a grad, I know they are more likely to put you to sleep, than to motive. What about a little activism Obama? But just like Clinton at the heart of it, he’s too busy enjoying himself to appreciate the importance of this moment and his effective engagement, or to give a damned apparently.

Very sad, very hopeless feeling. So yes Xain, I (many here I bet) can relate to your down feeling, more than you can appreciate. But mental health and a constructive pleasant day to day is “reality” and it is what “matters” most. As I’ve said before, tomorrow will take care of itself, today and this moment is the only one you are living. It’s real and it matters, even if it don’t last.

And voting on Election Day is the only time your opinion “matters” - then why do so many ignore it?

I voted yesterday - for the boy mayor. Yes, actually, I did, but please don’t tell anyone.

3point14rat: “The answer requires an impolite commentary on the intelligence, morals and thinking skills of 63, 000, 000 people”

Is the pot pointing a finger at the kettle? More people actually voted for the style of government they had in the USSR and China than voted for our Constitution.

More people actually voted for the style of government they had in the USSR and China than voted for our Constitution.
What the fuk is that supposed mean?

Please do explain.

Citizenschallenge-v.3: “Please do explain.”

Our Constitution forms a government with representatives making the decisions (and thereby protecting the people from themselves), a limited government, a government fully supportive of capitalism and free enterprise, a government that recognizes that there are 50 individual somewhat autonomous States comprising the nation, not one nation subsequently divided into political and social units. Our current government acknowledges that each individual has all of the authority and responsibility for his/her life. It is that government and that society which the Repubs support.

When you vote for the Dems you vote for socialism which is just lite communism. Once installed communism won’t stay lite. We’ve already seen it grow. The Dems shout about the “popular vote” every election and how we should overthrow the Constitution and eliminate the electoral college. The Dems want socialized medicine, one set of rules nation-wide on everything regardless of what the people in different States want. Ultimately the Dems want to eliminate all States’ rights and have everything run from the central government. The Dems believe the government knows what’s best for the individual and that the government should be responsible for him/her.

If the Dems get what they want our government will be no different from that of Russia and China. Communism doesn’t work; never has, never will. China and Russia were dying before they embraced capitalism. Both have tried and failed to eliminate religion. All of our founders wrote that the people are not fit to govern themselves; true then, true today. That’s why we elect representatives. I don’t want that druggie living under the bridge making decisions that affect my life, do you? Communism, with its all-powerful central government, will reduce to a dictatorship. How is that working out in North Korea? Can you see what the people of Hong Kong see coming with incorporation into China? They don’t want any part of it; do you - really?

Bob, the Republican version of freedom is one where your boss can exploit you, where garbage can be sold as food, where children are made to work 12 hour days and poisons are dumped in rivers. Regulations, unions, environmentalists fix that stuff.

Our current government acknowledges that each individual has all of the authority and responsibility for his/her life.
If they are white and rich.
BOB, The Dems shout about the “popular vote” every election and how we should overthrow the Constitution and eliminate the electoral college.
And the Republicans are doing all they can to limit voting. Apparently democracy is their enemy.

I could add another half dozen revealing news and investigative reports.

You got a president that believes he should be treated like some religious messiah -

And a bunch of self-certain totalitarians absolutely willing to play the Worship Him game.

Because they are winning and they want to crush all that is not within their perceptions of God-fearing living - they hate sex and anyone that want to enjoy it, they hate people of color, they all the outsiders and want them to go back to where they came from, like that makes sense. They think Earth is only there to consume fast as possible, until it’s sucked dry.

They believe their Faith in their God of EGO and Profits - means it’s okay to ignore down to Earth Physical and the future of our children.

Reality and well understood scientific facts, such as the unfathomable damages we are inflicting to our planetary life support systems - because their God of EGO tells them so.

They reduce other’s agendas to ingeniously fabricated cartoon fantasies,

like that socialism, communism crap Bob spouts with such proud tunnel visioned ignorance - when we are simply acknowledging that we are interwoven social animals and that we are living in crowded communities and had better do a little taking care of each other.

Lordie knows the little people do enough to take care of providing the wealth our masters of the universe can never get enough of - because their collective Mindscape has devolved into Sociopathic Profit Algorithm devoid of all humanity.

But the Bobs of our world simply lap up their idiot propaganda with their simpleton’s glee.

So what the fuk is Bob thinking?

If the Dems get what they want our government will be no different from that of Russia
So says the faithful supporter of our Russian Obligate President.

Trump: “Russier, if you are listening, help me!”

And help they certainly did.

How Russian Money Helped Save Trump’s Business

After his financial disasters two decades ago, no U.S. bank would touch him. Then foreign money began flowing in.

THE CASE FOR COLLUSION

Bailed Out By Russia

1987-2014

Donald Trump may not have any business in Russia, but Russia certainly has business in Donald Trump.

And so on and so forth . . .

https://swalwell.house.gov/issues/russia-trump-his-administration-s-ties

@Bob Seems to me that Repugs would be happier if the U.S. were more like Russia than a democracy. Personally, I grew up amongst Teamsters, when Jimmy Hoffa ran a mack truck into a business, and I really hate to see this country have no unions. It was unions who got us the 40 hour work week, benefits, etc. We also need Social Security, which we spend all our adult work life until retirement paying into, yet the Repugs steal it from us. We need medicare, medicaid, and other safety nets. We also need universal health care, as well as public education through college. Clean air, clean water, and yes housing. However, if you don’t want it, that’s fine, but I hate to see what happens if you are out of work for any length of time not due to being your own fault. BTW, the police and fire department are socialistic programs, but I guess you don’t want that either. Keep in mind, none of that is like Russia, but more like the Netherlands and other countries in Western Europe.

Mriana, for many years I have believed and promoted the idea that any union, even a bad one, is better than no union. A bad one can be fixed, but it is hard to get a new one. There is no alternative for moderating the behavior of corporate management. Management’s job is to maximize profits; we can’t fault them for doing their job. I will vote for mandatory unions as a condition for the privilege of incorporation. Incorporation is not a right, it is a privilege we grant and one we can deny.

Social Security was a Ponzi scheme from the beginning and as such it has always been doomed to failure. If the money taken from us and promptly spent on big government programs had been invested, even in something as low-paying as savings bonds, we would have had cash money, at retirement age, at least three times the value of all the payments we would receive from Social Security and our children would have inherited it. Now if you die before getting you money back, no one except the government gets anything. Are you aware that there have been bills introduced to confiscate our IRAs and other retirement programs and issue us Social Security credits for that money? The government knows Social Security is about to fail and they will find a way to screw us out of what we have put in. The Dems have never and will never let us cut spending enough to keep it going. Just another example of how socialism doesn’t work.

I think we should have a choice of free college or a new pick-up truck every four years. The best safety net you can have is insurance. I expect if you can’t afford it, either you don’t have that much to lose or you have made some really poor choices. Your poor choices don’t constitute a problem for me. The second best safety net you can have is access to charity. The Dems have done, and are doing, all they can do to eliminate religious organizations which have always been the primary source of charity, especially local charity which is readily accessible. If you want a free lunch you won’t find it at a government office, it will be at a church. A government safety net or charity program will benefit primarily the bureaucracy that administers it.

Police and fire are, or should be, be paid for by property taxes and electricity, water and sewer by quantities consumed. Taxing people who don’t have children to pay for schools is justifiable only in the abstract. If you want to have children you should be willing to support them in every way and that includes schooling through college. You have no right to demand that I support your children. If you really feel like you do, will you commit to paying the bill for mine to go to tech school?

Citizenschallenge-v.3, Surely you are aware that Russia has only recently embraced capitalism. I admit I have not been following it that closely, but what I have found it that the potential for business there is at least as great as it is in China. Our businesses and business people are not going to ignore the opportunities there any more than they ignore them anywhere else in the world.

The fact that the smart money is not afraid to be there should tell you something about the political and social realities. The Russians are not our enemies. “The Russians are coming” was always a boogie man story. Increasing prosperity under capitalism will not go unnoticed by the average dude on the street; political reform will follow.

I feel sorry for anyone who was dumb enough to be misled by any foreign actions during our last elections. My advice to them is to diversify their news sources; social media doesn’t cut it. Everyone should be aware that no actual tampering with the vote count was discovered. Whatever was done were only attempts to influence people. Each of us must do our own due diligence, no one else can do it for us.

Each of us must do our own due diligence, no one else can do it for us.
People say that but I rarely hear how they do it. It doesn't appear you know how.

@Bob you have no idea. Unions are good things and we need Social Security. Again, you have no idea what you are talking about and your posts are not worth reading in their entirety, especially since you do not wish to learn or hear any new information. Most of what you say is the old tired Repug arguments against everyone else’s newer views and desires. Most repugs even fight change insisting its not better, yet their ways aren’t working and those ways are old ways. IMHO, it’s time to try something new even allow the GenX and Millennials take over the government instead of leaving the majority of congress as Boomers in an effort to try something new that may actually give this country prospering again, without the 1% having almost all the pie and the poorest getting nothing. Sadly, most Boomers don’t want to do that and they want to stick with what isn’t working and we all know what they say about that- “keeping trying the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result is a sign of mental illness”. Doing the same old “trickle down theory” and other same old stuff expecting a different result, just because Boomers are comfortable with it, expecting a different result doesn’t bode well for the U.S. It makes us look bad when we refuse to try what works in Canada, Britain, Netherlands, Australia, modern Germany, Sweden, etc. We could be a great country again if we just try what does work in other countries and becoming a Democratic Socialistic Country. Yes, I’m a Bernie Sis and one of the oldest Gen X’ers. Sharing our resources works well, even my grandparents knew that and they often practiced it in their daily lives. Capitalism does not work, unless you succumb to greed and that will only lead to a collapse. Eventually, greedy Walmart will collapse because of it’s greed. Capitalism is a sign of a very sick society, especially if that is what runs the country and Capitalism is governing the U.S. The U.S. with it’s greedy leaders, corporations, and industries if collapsing.

Great long article on how social media has been weaponized.

So many piss and moan about the 1%. There is nothing new in the fact that the super rich control most of the assets required to produce an income. It has been that way since the establishment of chiefdoms. Much of Europe had a break in that system after the plagues caused the collapse of the economic system due to the lack of workers and the resulting European dark age. We still have a functional Feudal system in most of the world today only now land has been largely replaced by corporate entities.

Wake up to the real world. Capitalism is the only system that has ever worked or ever will. Every person who has planted a seed with the hope or expectation of getting something from it other than another seed has practiced capitalism. They used assets, soil, seed and labor to produce gain, what we call a profit.

Lausten: “Great long article on how social media has been weaponized.”
