If you are at all interested in engineering, that is, if anything about our modern world’s infrastructure fascinates you, you can bet engineering is at the base of it. Which is one reason I’ve come to really enjoy videos by Grady at Practical Engineering-YouTube. With his excellent explanations, and sometimes building fascinating demonstration models to get the lessons across.

A few of my thoughts about the recent tragedy in central Texas. I don’t have any good answers to any of this, but I think it’s worth discussing nonetheless. My heart goes out to the victims and their families who were affected by this flood.
