Hmm. I let some of the minor offenses go, like “stupid”, especially if it is someone who is usually contributing. It’s not just words, it’s the pattern. There is a “report” button. I don’t read every post. It’s anonymous.

I have not posted for weeks, being very busy in my real life.
But there is another reason, the way this forum is turning.
I sum up after a fast reading. I am sure I forget many things but I give my feelings.
2 or three people think that USA are the epitome of evil. Others while denying it, even conscious that other parties play their parts, try to fight them.
Each party has its arguments. Not wanting to feed the trolls, and start a new bonfire, I will not give my opinion here.
I think that theses exchanges have become senseless and hopeless.
Please, could we not close these topics and move to other topics ?
We do ban the worst offenders. We do our best to be fair.
I appreciate your feedback. I hope the offensive members read this.

I would close any topic related to the Israel-Palestine situation.
Each party repeats the same ideas, and totally ignore the moderates who try to make a point or give an historical information.
And the mood of the forum is largely spoiled like that. too many names calling and agressiveness.

It’s not easy to catch everyone who violates the rules and sometimes we just have to warn the worst offenders, as Lausten stated.
I know, i am a moderator in other places. I don’t envy your job.

Sometimes I don’t envy my job and there are days I wonder why I continue, then I remember I do it because I want the forum to continue.
