along with their “reasoning” - it’s hilariously terrify.

Terrifying indeed. Maybe the MAGA’s should be designated by the United States as a terrorist organization. A hilariously ignorant but terrifying organization.
The “Dominators” should be designated to be a terrorist organization. They are the heavily armed federal units that the T rump is using to forcibly abuse the right of peaceful assemblers to protest, so that he (the T rump) can do anything that he wants at any moment, like take a stroll to get his picture taken for his campaign. (While holding up a Bible in front of a church no less.) A just God would have blown the T rump’s arm off with a bolt of lightning.
But Idk, if “god” ever promised justice. I do seem to recall, in the pledge of allegiance to the flag, that there was supposed to be justice for all.
But Idk, if “god” ever promised justice. I do seem to recall, in the pledge of allegiance to the flag, that there was supposed to be justice for all. There is justice for all. You could be one of those who want more justice than others. We are a nation of plenty. If you are not getting your fair share of anything, then there is something wrong with you.
@sree We are a nation of plenty. If you are not getting your fair share of anything, then there is something wrong with you.Now that reflects your selective insular Mindscape. You probably believe that too. Oh yeah, I recall you tell us you had a mom who took you to the best of luxury restaurants - sort of like trump.
What do you know about the rest of Americans, (the one’s who don’t have rich parents to pamper them and instill that sense of entitlement that beats all.) their lives and opportunities they have, or don’t, as the case may be?
Now that reflects your selective insular Mindscape. You probably believe that too. Oh yeah, I recall you tell us you had a mom who took you to the best of luxury restaurants – sort of like trump.Nah, when it comes to food, Trump is classless. He likes his steaks well-done and feasts on fare from MacDonald's and KFC.
What do you know about the rest of Americans, (the one’s who don’t have rich parents to pamper them and instill that sense of entitlement that beats all.) their lives and opportunities they have, or don’t, as the case may be?Look, I am not insensitive. I can't understand why people are poor. The Buddha saw it and lost interest in living in his gilded cage of mindless opulence. I too, much to my parents' chagrin, took early retirement at 32 to seek the deathless state. I am intrigued by Jesus who said that we will always have the poor with us. Is this a curse from God or what? I am hoping that @loveofgod can throw some light on this.
TimB: I do seem to recall, in the pledge of allegiance to the flag, that there was supposed to be justice for all.
Sree: There is justice for all. You could be one of those who want more justice than others. We are a nation of plenty. If you are not getting your fair share of anything, then there is something wrong with you.
TimB: I am white so even without vast wealth, I have managed to have my share of justice, for which I am grateful to my country. But your sentence “There is justice for all.” is one of your most ignorant statements, yet. And that is saying a lot.
There is a massive difference in our criminal “justice” system, in ALL of its facets, between wealthy+white vs poor+minorities. If you don’t recognize that, you are among the most ignorant of the ignorant.
I am intrigued by Jesus who said that we will always have the poor with us. Is this a curse from God or what?Maybe Jesus knew enough about human nature to predict that there will always be selfish, greedy, exploitative money accumulators.
Jesus should have gone beyond kicking the butts of the money changers in the temple. He should have also confiscated 90% of their money and then distributed it as a Universal Basic Income to the poor. Perhaps the equivalent of $1,000 per month for anyone who had nothing. But Jesus did not know Andrew Yang.
@ Sree
There is justice for all. You could be one of those who want more justice than others. We are a nation of plenty. If you are not getting your fair share of anything, then there is something wrong with you.
You are showing your “white privilege” and again, have no idea what you are talking about. Then again, society does say if you are even one drop black then there’s something wrong with you. So it that’s what you mean, then that’s pure racism. That said, you will never know what it’s like to feel worry and fear for your child’s life when they step out of the door. Black lives matter. If you don’t get that and want to say, “All lives matter” then you really don’t get it. Try turning that into “my son’s life matters” [including when he runs into a cop and despite having a dark complexion]. While your child’s life matters too, if your child is all white, they don’t have the same issues when they run into a cop. They don’t know what racism is, so they can “yes, sir” and “no, sir” without suspicion of hiding something. Yes, that is what I said- even being respectful can put a young black man under suspicion. Makes no sense, but true, and sounds stupid, which it is. I can tell you more, but it would take a book.

I can tell you more, but it would take a book.I believe you because what you say about a white child not having the same issues a black child has in the US is true. What is also true is that the perceived racist discrimination is mindless. It’s not conscious and deliberate hatred of blacks. Let me give you a few examples. Firstly, Tiger Woods was stopped by security at a posh private “white” country club when he arrived to participate in a golf tournament. He wasn’t a living legend then but already a rising star. He said the guard asked him why he was there and Tiger replied “I’m supposed to be here.” Then, there was a black Professor of a university in Kenya who told me that he was stopped from entry by security at the United Nations in New York. He got in after showing proof that he was there to present a paper at a seminar. And you probably know about Oprah Winfrey’s experience when she was in a fancy fashion designer store when she wasn’t all dressed up as Oprah and dropped in looking like an ordinary fat black cashier working at Walmart. It’s not about being black. It’s about not being rich and famous.
It’s not about being black. It’s about not being rich and famous. You just described discrimination based on skin color, then said it's not. How did you do that? How can you write that or think that?
My brother and I went to my dad’s country club once when we were college age. We looked a bit more scruffy than the average member. The guys at the golf course let us play because they knew us, but the waitress afterwards asked us who we were. We told her, and she said, well, really we shouldn’t be there. I don’t know, we were beyond the “family” membership age or something. Anyway, how do you think that would have gone down if we were POC?
Sree, racism is taught, not an unconscious thing of the brain and it if very conscious. BTW, my sons are not all white. They are 1/2 black, so I do know what I’m talking about, probably more so than you. Racism is never unconscious and children learn it from their parents, grandparents, and other influential adults in their lives. Where you get the stuff you come up with? I know it isn’t from any sociology class.
I am pretty darn sure that people can have unconscious bias. AND that bias can be in effect without even thinking about it. At what point does unconscious bias based on racial cues become racist? If you are sure that Racism is never unconscious, then the answer would have to be either that I am wrong and that sort of unconscious bias does not exist, OR that no matter how effectively discriminating the unconscious bias is, it is not racist.
What do you think about that?
There is such a thing as unconscious bias, but racism is taught. Though I will admit there is a fine line between unconscious bias and racism though. Sort of like love and hate. However, not all biases are unconscious. I most definitely have a bias though, in that I favour mixed children, but my own sons and grandsons are mixed, so that’s a given that I’d be biased in that respect. It’s not unconscious, for I know I think mixed children are beautiful… to me, as well as others. That said or because of that, black lives matter and their lives should never be oppressed or snuffed out. Their lives might not matter to you, but their lives matter to someone- both white and black and biracial. Sometimes I wonder if those of us whose family is multiracial are about the only ones who know that we are all human, no matter the complexion and should have equality, not being oppressed or killed. While black and Native people may have more incidence diabetes, for example, the DNA that makes us all human is in all of us no matter our complexion, which means my sociology professors were right- there is only one race, the human race. We may have different complexions, ethnicities, cultures, ancestry, heritage, but we are all human and there is no other race. If we go back far enough, we all came from the same place.

@mrianaYou are showing your “white privilege” and again, have no idea what you are talking about.
You’ve still never explained what you see in his, beyond someone that pisses off liberal types. Is that really your standard?
unconscious bias.Comes from a lack of introspection, refusing to reflect, or to contemplate, or to question oneself.
But then folks like guy tell me, it’s a handicap to be thoughtful and introspective. That attitude times millions makes today’s societal implosion at the hands of that empty headed fear and hate driven mentality of those 40% trump worshippers inevitable, lordie knows they don’t want to think about anything but kicking ass of their self-created and perceived enemies.
If you are a humanist in the Christian sense, you would turn the other cheek and move on. -- SreeThat verse has a lot of literature discussing it. You should really read some, because in it's simplest form, it has problems. They way you are using it is, "stop talking about racism and it will go away", or something about people "knowing their place". Explain how George Floyd could have turned a cheek?

Comes from a lack of introspection, refusing to reflect, or to contemplate, or to question oneself.Easier said than done. It is easy to deceive ourselves that we are able to do this.
But then folks like guy tell me, it’s a handicap to be thoughtful and introspective.Being thoughtful and introspective does hinder the gut-feel of instinct and drown out the plea of common-sense; especially, when it is guided by the well-educated mind which is the Devil's workshop.
That attitude times millions makes today’s societal implosion at the hands of that empty headed fear and hate driven mentality of those 40% trump worshippers inevitable, lordie knows they don’t want to think about anything but kicking ass of their self-created and perceived enemies.Everybody is somebody's enemy. This is why humanity have been forming a circular firing squad since the beginning of time to get rid of the enemy. We won't stop till the last among us drops.
That verse has a lot of literature discussing it. You should really read some, because in it’s simplest form, it has problems. If by "simplest form" you mean take it at face value, it makes no sense. In any altercation that presents physical danger, instinct kicks in. Even Jesus Christ, if he is not drugged by feel-good morality, would kick the attacker in the nuts or flee.
They way you are using it is, “stop talking about racism and it will go away”, or something about people “knowing their place”.I have explaining to do if that is what you believe I have been saying. Where do I begin to tell the story of human misery?
Explain how George Floyd could have turned a cheek?George Floyd is but a leaf that got burned in the forest fire of societal disease. Do you think it is wise to inquire into the problem of the inferno leaf by leaf as you are proposing? I would like to listen to what @loveofgod has to say about this teaching of Jesus in the King James Bible:
Matthew 5:39-40
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
