Since Halloween is this week, let’s talk about horror movies.
I don’t like most of them, but there are some great ones out there. Off the top of my head, some favorites are:
From Dusk till Dawn (I rewatched this last week and it’s great fun)
The Serpent and the Rainbow (You want to talk badly about Haitians, look no further)
Creepshow (The best straight up horror move made from Stephen King books)
The Prophecy (An unusual take on angels)
The Witch (A rare modern horror movie that stands out)
The Wicker Man (British pagans keeping the old traditions alive)
What are some of yours?

Is The Fearless Vampire Killers, or Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are in My Neck , by Polanski, an horror film ? I loved it.
The only horror films i watched were the movies by Hammer company in the sixties and seventies.
The tickets were cheap.
There the Dracula films with Christopher Lee, but also adaptations from Poe and so.
I have not been attracted by movies as the exorcist.

The Hannibal Lecter movies are true horror movies because Hannibal Lecter was based on a real person, Albert Fish.
and a full-length movie “Hannibal”

Silence of the Lambs is good. I couldn’t get into Hannibal.
Someone dining on his own brains is pretty gruesome..
Gruesome, yes. But the plot of Hannibal just wasn’t as good as “Silence”.
