So, what is Biden going to do about them? Wake up sleepy Joe, it is indeed a crisis and not one you inherited Nancy.
I say leave them alone unless they are going to give them shelter and help them find their relatives in the U.S. No more locking them up in cages and crap like the dotard was doing.
Do you have google?
This administration is learning that when the border is stormed humane responses become impossible.
Biden’s own I don’t hate Mexicans like the last bad man image probably isn’t helping either.
President Biden didn’t say “I don’t hate Mexicans”. He said most of the kids coming across the border have a phone number and even request “Llama a mi tia” or “Llama a mi tio” or whoever made it over here and live here as citizens or have a green card. President Biden even said that’s often the case. These kids need help finding the relative they were sent here to find. Most of these kids didn’t jump the border without an intent to find a relative who lives here. Mothers with young children, who thought ahead even give the number to a relative so they can call if they get seperated. It’s not like all of them cross the border just because or just to get here with no destination in mind. Many do have a destination after they cross the border.
I know he didn’t say it. That is his image. He presented himself as a tolerant candidate in contrast to Trump during the campaign. Hispanics probably hope that’s true.
Kids shouldn’t be sent to jump the border anyway.
@thatoneguy maybe they shouldn’t, but they are and before you judge, maybe you should learn their stories, if you’re that worried about it or encourage our government to get them to family.
No “story” excuses sending kids to storm the border.
Best we can do is get the Canadian Provinces and Mexican States to join us in a United States of North America and then annex the other countries north of Panama. And the islands of course. Probably the only way to compete long term with China. And even Joe Biden should be able to keep a border with Panama secure.
We could let Hawaii go to Japan and the South Pacific islands go to a maritime coalition without losing much.
Kids shouldn’t be sent to jump the border anyway. They sent them to seek asylum. No kid should be left to fend for themselves in a country that is dangerous for them. No country should exploit its neighbor and create that situation. (That's us btw)
Sending kids to seek asylum is beyond irresponsible. Anybody who puts their kids through that is a lowlife who should have no place in this country, except maybe in a cheap grave.

Instead of all that why don’t we just enforce the border and punish business owners who rely on cheap labor.
Instead of all that why don’t we just enforce the border and punish business owners who rely on cheap labor. -- one guyI used to ask that. Then I figured out the "big lie" of the "immigration crisis". Start by asking yourself, how are immigrants both using welfare and getting free health care from our emergency rooms and adding to crime while also taking our jobs? Next, look at what they do and have always done, come here to work. It used to be easy for them to go home when they were done with their seasonal labor.
So the answer is, law makers aren’t going to punish the very people they say are the heart of our economy; small businesses and entrepreneurs. And well they should not. Nor should they punish the people we found to be essential workers during the pandemic. You can’t have economic growth without more workers. You can’t get texting teenagers to pick strawberries and solder electronic crap. You can however fool people into believing unskilled labor with a good work ethic are a threat.
He presented himself as a tolerant candidate in contrast to Trump during the campaign. It's not hard to contrast Biden's humane tolerance, to Trump narcissistic hatred for all that's not serving his own totalitarian interests.
But guess some just love trump’s totalitarian intolerance to everyone not serving his own needs, real and imagined.
Speaking of contrasts between Republicans and Democratic here’s an interesting one.

It would be easy to fix by forcing young Americans to do this work, and treating border jumpers as invaders who deserve nothing but swift killing, but we are nothing but pushovers.

forcing young Americans to do this work -- oneLike what, a labor camp?
Maybe. If it were up to me all Americans between the ages of say 18 to 50 would have to work. Anyone who refuses would end up in something like a labor camp.
@thatoneguy and what if they are disabled? Are you still going to force them to work? Isn’t forcing one to work in a labour camp akin to slavery?
Yes, labor camps are similar to slave labor but it’s more similar to prison labor. (As far as I know slave labor is illegal, but prison labor is not). An individual sent there is being punished after all. Many people believe being forced to work in any capacity is simply inhumane, but I disagree.
As for the disabled, it would depend on how disabled they are. Only the very worst off would be incapable of just about any type of work but they are few and far between.
