Justice Thomas you're the last one to lecture people - re. accepting decisions

Former Attorney General Eric Holder tells MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell that Clarence Thomas should recuse himself from any Supreme Court cases involving January 6 records and the presidential election: “That is a no-brainer.”

THIS IS THE SAME SUPREME COURT THEY SAID WE’RE NOT GONNA OUTLAW PARTISAN GERRYMANDERING.

YOU KNOW, THEY’LL SAY, WE’RE NOT GONNA TAKE AWAY RIGHTS FOR THE FIRST TIME, THAT’S EVER HAPPENED TO AMERICAN HISTORY. WE’RE GONNA LET THE STATE LEGISLATURES DECIDE THAT.

OH YEAH, BY THE WAY, IN THEIR DECISION, WE DECIDED THAT THE FEDERAL COURTS WOULD NOT HAVE THEIR ABILITY TO SAY THAT PARTISAN GERRYMANDERING WAS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

SO, YOU KNOW, THEY WANT TO HAVE IT EVERY WAY THAT THEY CAN.

I WAS STRUCK BY JUSTICE THOMAS, WHEN HE SAID THAT PEOPLE DON’T ACCEPT THINGS THAT THEY DON’T LIKE.

I THINK ABOUT THE ITERATION OF THIS COURT.

GRISWOLD DECIDED IN THE 60s, (BAKKI THE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION CASE WAS DECIDED IN THE 70S, THEY’RE GONNA LOOK AT THAT.

ROE v. WADE DECIDED IN THE 70s, APPARENTLY, THEY’RE GONNA LOOK AT THAT.

AGAIN, THINGS THAT YOU DON’T LIKE.

(THOMAS’s WIFE APPARENTLY DIDN’T LIKE THE OUTCOME OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, AND SHE WAS ENGAGED IN THAT TO SOMEHOW SUBVERT THE WILL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. AMERICAN PEOPLE ABOUT PEOPLE NOT ACCEPTING OUTCOMES THAT THEY DON’T LIKE.

THAT IS WHAT CLARENCE THOMAS CERTAINLY HAS DONE IN HIS PROFESSIONAL LIFE, CERTAINLY IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS WIFE,

Discussion anyone?

Right now, extremists, who want power and control over people, are in control of the Supreme Court. It was set up for them to be in control and they will push through overturning Roe v Wade, overturning Civil Rights, overturning LGBT rights, overturning marriage equality, etc, even push through denying women birth control, which, from what I’m hearing is next. It’s not right, but that’s what the Religious Reich, a cult that’s grown strong, want. They financially backed all of this crap. How they got the money, I have no idea.

Is there any other rationale behind condemning birth control , beyond perhaps forcing women into becoming baby-making machines for impotent evangelicals?

No, there is no rational, except prior to the '60s, it was illegal, unless she was married and had her husband’s permission. The other “rational” is the Catholic view of “every sperm is sacred” and Hobby Lobby’s Fundamngelical lawsuit against it for their female employees. Of course none of it is rational, but they think it is.

God’s law is an easy excuse for any foolishness

Or stupidity and ignorance.

US CONGRESSMAN HAKEEM JEFFRIES RESPONDED TO JUSTICE THOMAS DURING YESTERDAY’S (May 11) HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE HEARING.

JUSTICE THOMAS REALLY WANTS TO DEAL WITH BULLYING IN AMERICA, OR THIS PROBLEM A FEW SUPPOSEDLY UNWILLING TO ACCEPT OUTCOMES THAT THEY DON’T LIKE.

I’VE GOT SOME ADVICE FOR JUSTICE THOMAS, START IN YOUR OWN HOME!

HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH JEANNIE THOMAS.
SHE REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE LEGITIMACY OF THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.
WHY?
BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T LIKE THE OUTCOME.

AND SO INSTEAD, SHE TRIED TO STEAL THE ELECTION, OVERTHROW THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND INSTALL A TYRANT.
THAT’S BULLYING. THAT’S BEING UNWILLING TO ACCEPT AN OUTCOME BECAUSE YOU DON’T LIKE THE RESULTS. …

AND LASTLY, LET ME ASK THIS QUESTION OF BROTHER THOMAS.

(JUSTICE THOMAS,) WHY ARE YOU SUCH A HATER?

HATE ON CIVIL RIGHTS,
HATE ON WOMEN’S RIGHTS
HATE ON REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
HATE ON VOTING RIGHTS,
HATE ON MARITAL RIGHTS,
HATE ON EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW,
HATE ON LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL,
HATE ON FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS.

(JUSTICE THOMAS,) WHY ARE YOU SUCH A HATER?

AND YOU THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH IT ESCAPE OBLIQUE SCRUTINY.

BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT SHAMELESSNESS IS YOUR SUPERPOWER?

I notice some Republican desperately trying to shut him down - The GOP can’t handle the truth, can’t handle fair and honest debate based on known facts. Instead it’s one totalitarian fantasy after another - only they have right and the rest of the country can go to hell so far as our Republican leader are concerned.

Have they no shame!?!?

Rep. Jeffries To Clarence Thomas: ‘Why Are You Such A Hater?’

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries called out Justice Clarence Thomas for hypocrisy in a House Judiciary Committee hearing, saying Thomas “has been an outrage and an abomination from the very beginning,” and criticized Thomas for ruling on January 6th cases despite the communication between his wife, Ginni, and Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
Rep. Jeffries tells MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, “No Supreme Court Justice … is above the law, above public scrutiny or above public accountability.”

# Unprecedented Coup Attempts Call For Unprecedented Subpoenas

Rep. Jamie Raskin, member of the January 6th Committee, talks about the committee taking the rare step of issuing subpoenas to sitting members of Congress who may have specific information about the events of January 6th, and who did not willingly respond to a request to share that information with the committee.

It never ceases to amaze me that people can go against their own and their family’s well being and interests. Justice Thomas is a prime example of this.

He is set for life. Like all predators he doesn’t care about anything else except getting even with those who questioned his morality.

Clarence Thomas just can’t stop trying to get even

Informative article, thanks for sharing.

. . . In his 2007 autobiography, “My Grandfather’s Son,” the bitter grudge that he holds against those who tried to dump his confirmation was on naked and brutal display. He showed no sign of budging a step from the never-ending public and private war he’s waged against civil rights leaders and liberal Democrats. He branded them the “liberal mob” and griped that they had one goal: to “keep the black man in his place.” The black man, of course, is Thomas.

The other theme that courses through Thomas’s need for payback is his obsessive view of himself as the perennial martyr. In an American Enterprise Institute lecture in 2001, he wrapped himself in the martyr’s garment and said that he expected to be treated badly for challenging liberal opinion. A decade later, in a talk to the ultra-conservative Federalist Society, he vented that persecution complex again when he said that unnamed critics “seem bent on undermining” the Supreme Court. He meant one justice on the court, himself.

Thomas’s mean-spirited and vindictive views and legal opinions on the death penalty, age and gender bias, First Amendment, prisoner rights and affirmative action cases were well known by the time he hit the court in 1991. It could hardly be said even then that he latched on to judicial conservatism solely to curry favor with white conservatives to snatch a seat on the high court. He proved this again when he bought into Trump’s vote-fraud-lie in the Pennsylvania case. He actually believes what he says and writes in his nutty dissents, even when others ridicule him deservedly for them. But then again, it’s just Thomas getting even.

What I find most objectionable is that Thomas as a senior judge of SCOTUS, pleaded ignorance of the law, when told that he was supposed to declare gifts larger than $100.00

He liked the idea that he could fly on private jets and travel on super yachts without having to declare the approximate value of such little jaunts.

The investigative nonprofit news outlet reports that Thomas’ 2019 trip island hopping in Indonesia with a chartered plane and a superyacht—owned by Crow—would have cost Thomas more than half a million dollars if he’d paid for it. As a public servant, Thomas has an annual salary of $285,000.Apr 8, 2023

Letter: Ignorance of law no excuse

In defense of his accepting expensive trips (aka “a bribe”), which is a clear violation of the law for a person in his position, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas claims that “he was told trips didn’t need disclosure.”

In other words, a Supreme Court justice is admitting that he is ignorant of the law. Given that “ignorance of the law” is a fundamental legal principle in the U.S., why is Justice Thomas claiming that he did not know what he was doing was against the law? Maybe he was absent on the day that his law professor lectured on that point.
Letter: Ignorance of law no excuse - The Columbian

I am astounded that a person who holds a lifetime position on the highest court in the land, even dared admit his ignorance of the law. This is the stuff of National shame.

It makes you angry [with him] and wanting to laugh at the same time when he plead ignorance.

Now Justice Alito is whining that American’s have the nerve to criticize the behavior of Supreme Court Justices.

The sense of grievance is utterly pathetic, this bunch of pampered masters of the universe -
