Is VYAZMA banned?

Last I read VYAZMA was just under suspension, but it’s been over a month now, and his account still isn’t in the members list.

We do not have a category of suspension except banning.

I’ll get back on this later.

I’m confusing by all this (perhaps saddened is better), VYAZMA got on my nerves plenty, but I missed the fireworks that reached a level of banishment offense.
What was it that was so terrible?
Now I’ll never get the chance to continue some of our arguments.
Darron, we’re friends but I don’t know that I agree with your anger and banishment desire as you explained it at:

Please start enforcing all the rules http://www.centerforinquiry.net/forums/viewthread/19265/
Seems to me the biggest problem here isn't the few wing-nuts we attract - some of whom seem to be confused searchers more than trolls, folks who should be embraced and challenged - though others I'd definitely put the troll label on, but them I just ignore. The biggest issue and concern is the lack of interesting engaged people willing to post provocative threads - or join in on discussions. The fact that little has changed so far as participation between last year and this year - is, to me, a terrifying indication that the Alt-right, Evangelical-unhinged and the Trump revolution is more successful than not in commanding the hearts and minds of a citizenry gone lazy and to seed. I don't know how CFI can hope to attract interesting people by slamming doors in others faces. The real challenges we should obsess about are coming up with convincing arguments, or at least dissections of their questions and statements. Better yet, figure out how to confront and challenge intellectual nonsense toe to toe, eye to eye. The biggest problem with our country is that most people are talking past each other, that can't get solved with slamming doors, no matter how good that may feel in the moment.

I moderate a busy group. When posters become annoying we don’t ban them outright but put them on “permanent” moderation. Their unacceptable posts don’t get posted. If their posts continue to be unacceptable we do ban them after a month or so of moderation. Members realize this and most manage to follow the rules because they know their abusive posts won’t be published.

Oh an hell we all got our own edges, for instance why did I have to use “wing-nuts” and not just once.
But, I’m in a rush, already way late, - a ‘reverse soffit’ today %-P

Our software does not have this option. We are open to a small amount of constructive discussion of decisions on this forum but be aware of Rule (6)]: substantive disagreements must be made in the proper form or threads may be locked or deleted, and warnings given. Basically we do our best given the circumstances, although no decisions are perfect or will satisfy everyone, and we do not want the forum to devolve into rehashings by those who are not satisfied. FWIW this was a unanimous decision.

We do not have a category of suspension except banning. If a person cannot tolerate a person who doesn't agree with them, then that persons a bigot, and they'll want to tell you who needs to be banned. You've addressed this with the person, but I think you've rewarded them by getting rid of VYAZMA. I honestly don't know enough about the VYAZMA's history, but what I do know is that he's lasted on this forum for years and has had over 5k posts. Has he really not brought any value to this forum not worth at least giving him a second chance? I'm not so invested to this forum, so I'll be straight here. If you ban people just because the discussions get heated, and rid everyone who's considered an agitator, then all your left with is a circle jerk, and that's worse than a dead forum. I'd rather have a group of people who disagree than a group where everyone plays nice all the time because they don't want to hurt each others feelings.

Yes, you do not know the history. VYAZMA had many, many second chances. One does not get a free pass by having a high post-count.
