Observation/Measurement is dead. Spacetime determines if a quantum wave should be physical for our reality. Spacetime governs our reality, by handing out physical states. Time dilation demonstrates spacetime scaling reality.
The flight/path of a particle/wave is known before starting. If an spacetime object (detector) causes the particle to decohere but continue moving to a final panel, the particle/wave is given a physical state from the start. If the particle/wave is to pass two detectors before the final panel, the particle/wave starts as a wave …the physical state is taken from it.

Note that in the slit experiment the particles pass through the slit unaffected, i.e. they do not experience wave collapse and decoherence and there is only a wave interference. If during this wave interference particles collide one particle ceases to exist and only one particle is absorbed on the photosensitive screen where it decoheres into pure energy quanta and ceases to exist as a particle.
AFAIK, the constituent parts of atoms, like quarks just merge back into its quantum field. A wave function is constant process of unfolding (creation) and enfolding (decoherence) of energetic quanta back into the quantum field. Think ocean. Individual quanta in a quantum field exhibit wave functions, but a wave function does not move individual quanta, their motion is not horizontal but vertical.
OTOH when a wave breaks (collapses) on a rock at the shore the constituent droplets violently disperse and interact with the greater environment before eventually merging back into the greater body of water, in a constant motion. In the process the wave function collapses.
In the process the wave itself is destroyed and does not “pass” unaffeccted. There are only a few particles, so small they pass right through other atoms and that display no gravitational effects. A Neutrino is a virtual massless quantum potential of energy that does not recognize matter at all. A neutrino is not matter.
But individual atoms don’t constitute matter either, they are elements, the stuff that makes up matter. Matter is composed of at least two atoms (elements) in order constitute a molecule with a distinctive atomic pattern with specific potentials. Matter must have observable characteristics, else it is just chaotic energy. H2O is an example of matter in 3 possible patterns; gas, liquid, solid.

all the universe is dark matter and dark energy. Normal matter is an empty space for dark matter and dark matter wants to fill the empty space. So the dark matter is pushing the normal matter to the same point. That’s create the gravity. Like e hole in the water. If the mass of an object is very big, the empty space for dark matter is bigger, so the gravity is stronger. All the normal matter will transform in dark matter. The black hole is the mechanism that transform normal matter in dark matter. We don’t have yet the technology to see dark matter.
