I didn't think it could be worse

… but it is, worse than I thought.

I’m in Detroit and couldn’t find a good classic rock station. I happened on a far right talk show. He was talking about McIver, who was arrested weeks ago for doing her Congress person job of inspecting an ICE detention center. But that wasn’t this guy’s story. To him, she locked arms with a guy to resist arrest and shoved her forearm into an officer while doing it.

Every detail of his story was outrageous but I won’t waste your time, well, unless you ask me to. The worst of it was that he insisted that she felt she could get away with this because as a black woman she felt she was privileged. He added that if she was lesbian that would have made her triple privileged.

The whole thing had one intention, to make people mad at liberals. The fact that he was using this old story shows the desperation as well as the lack of interest in anything resembling news or reality.

Sounds like the Christian radio stations I’ve been exposed to here in the Southwest of the USA. This has been going on for decades.

But it was always unpleasant to discuss, so for all intents and purposed, no one did.

And now that it’s in our face, where is the outrage?
Yes, yes, I know there is some outrage,
but who’s getting on the bandwagon to join and support?

We were forewarned.

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me
