Anyone catch Ben Carson last night at the RNC?
According to Nicholas Kristof, he was talking about her love for Alinsky, then mentions a book by him where Lucifer is mentioned and seemed to imply Hillary therefore loved Satan.

I heard about that. Carson is a buffoon, and a perfect example of a savant. Get him out of his area of expertise and he’s an idiot.

Let's meet one of the convention speakers, Pastor Mark Burns of South Carolina, who gave the benediction on the convention's first day. (SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING) MARK BURNS: Lord, we're so thankful for the life of Donald Trump. We're thankful that you are guiding him - that we, together, can defeat the liberal Democratic Party, to keep us divided and not united, in Jesus' name - if you believe it, shout amen. UNIDENTIFIED CROWD: Amen. INSKEEP: There you go. Pastor Mark Burns of The Harvest Praise & Worship Center in Easley, S.C., who's now come by our studios at WCPN Ideastream. Good morning, sir.
Yeah, that would be this Drumpf:

I saw that moment, when appeared in the mist, silhouetted. There was a bit of stroll, as if to mock the whole thing, then a swagger, as if he didn’t realize he was mocking himself. Compare this to any president walking down a hallway of the White House to make an important announcement. No comparison.

Norovirus outbreak reported at Republican convention, confirming it has become an actual sh*t show By Jen Hayden | Tuesday Jul 19, 2016 http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/7/19/1549831/-Norovirus-outbreak-reported-at-the-Republican-convention-confirming-has-become-an-actual-sh-t-show The words “shit show" have been a common description of the Republican National Convention thus far. Highlights include D-list speakers, the lack of professional convention staff, the lower television ratings, the absence of many or most of the biggest names in Republican politics, and the spectacle of several formerly high profile conservatives ending their professional careers right there on the stage of the Quicken Loans Arena. It’s like watching a meteor (let’s call it Rudy) burning brightly as it crashes into the atmosphere, hurling toward imminent extinction. Now there is news of a possible nasty norovirus outbreak at the convention:As many as 11 members of the California delegation’s advance team are showing symptoms that are consistent with the norovirus, according to Peter Schade, the Erie County health commissioner, who is investigating the outbreak. They are staying at a hotel in Sandusky, Ohio, about an hour from Cleveland. “We’ve got about 11 who have been sick over the last few days ...
This incident summarizes everything wrong with the Republican Party.
Trump Supporters Covered Woman’s “No Racism, No Hate” Sign with American Flag
I posted it to my FaceBook page, and I’m curious to see how my conservative friends and family defend such despicable actions.

So far no replies. I’m beginning to think my conservative family and friends have given up discussing these issues with me. Probably for the best, they always get frustrated with facts and resort to personal attacks.

I baited my conservative friends with it, although I’ve dumped the worst of them.
But my comment was to the liberals. This is about values. People won’t come out and say they are afraid of brown people, or that they just like the idea of waterboarding, but if you explore their values, like how they raise their children, or are they willing to sacrifice rights for safety, you can find a pattern, and that pattern leads to people like Trump. Values are dinner table conversations. I can understand not wanting to talk religion or politics, but if someone is unwilling to talk about what it means to feel safe, that’s just weird.
Thanks for sharing that.
Someone posted this short bit of political science today.]Published on May 20, 2016 The obscure research that predicted Donald Trump. For more, read Amanda Taub's feature "The rise of American authoritarianism": http://www.vox.com/2016/3/1/11127424/trump-authoritarianism, and her analysis of the consequences for the Republican Party: http://www.vox.com/2016/4/28/11431892/after-trump-how-authoritarian-voters-will-change-american-politics It's funny this reminds me of when, at 17 I formally left the Lutheran Church (not that anyone gave a damned, but I was a church member and all). I wrote up a letter for our paster and my 'killer' line was: "Do I want to listen to and obey what elders tell me, or do I want to go out and experience life for myself." I've been amazed at how rare that sentiment is. The willful sheople. It's really frightening.

Lois On a friend's FB timeline two conservatives defended the RNC attendees actions stating the woman who held up the sign was being divisive. My friend and I asked how holding up a sign saying "No racism/No hate" was possibly divisive, and got no reply from either.
My friend and I asked how holding up a sign saying “No racism/No hate" was possibly divisive, and got no reply from eitherI may have missed it, but has anyone determined whether the woman was a Liberal/Democrat who snuck in, or a disgruntled member of their own party making a last ditch effort to inject some sanity into the party? In any case, the video makes it pretty clear that there are members of the GOP who favor racism and hate (if not all of them).
