God, are you a randy old man?

Hi God, I hope you won’t mind, but I’d like to ask you a few questions. First of all, if, as you said in your books, that you created human beings from variously, dust, dirt, blood, and bones; and importantly, in your image, why did you give us such a raging biological and emotional sex drive? Was it because you, yourself have an intense sex drive? That would be very understandable because just about every organism on Earth depends upon sex, the fusion of the genetic codes in male and female gametes, for individual reproduction and, through accumulated changes over eons, survival of some gene pools through evolution of the species. The organs and mechanisms of sex vary greatly over all the plants and animals on the Earth but sex in humans, I presume your favorite animal, is arguably one of the most intense of all the animals. Sex only for procreation is the norm in the animal world, usually seasonal and only when production of young is a possible outcome of the sexual relationship. Interestingly the animal species genetically closest to Homo sapiens, the bonobo species of chimpanzee, does use sexual relations without procreation as a social behavior.
Unlike other animals, our human sex drive is in play every day, all day, and in one way or another over all the years of our existence. Unlike other animals, we can even become addicted to sex, some of us are attracted to the same sex as ourselves, some of us are intensely sexually attracted to prepubescent children, and some, perhaps most, of us can not abide by the cultural and religious mores that prohibit sex with others despite being within a committed relationship. And this intense sexual drive is almost always in conflict with our religious and cultural societies. It seems like we either “worship" sex and enhance sexuality in every aspect of our lives from entertainment to science, and express our sexuality in dress and behavior in every way possible, sometimes exuberantly and sometimes subtly. Or apparently according to your direction, we stringently control public sexual expression in every way possible, suppressing the existence of sex in language, dress, and personal interaction. But even in the sexually strictest of cultures, where an exposed female ankle, hair, or facial features is sexually and societally abhorrent, even under those conditions, females find ways to augment the feminine nature of their eyes, their only features exposed to the outside world. So I wonder, why did you set up this almost sure to fail conflict of biology and culture? Perhaps to make life more interesting for us?
Well I think you fall into the human category we often term as “A randy old man." And why would I label you, the creator of, well, everything, with this pejorative, especially the “randy" part? Actually this comes across in your books. If we are created in your image as you said, then our intense sex drive must be a part of your image as well, so perhaps, like a randy old man, you enjoy sex, you have certainly used it extensively in your design of life. And on a personal note, if you did impregnate Mary and provided the male X chromosome that would be essential to biologically create a male infant, then of course you must be a male or at least be able to produce a male genome capable of fusing with the egg of a human female. And the tone and manner that is expressed in your writings is also decidedly male. So I feel that applying a male personage to you is within reason. And “old"?, well, yeah, you are actually “older than dirt".
Now I’m sure you can discern from my audaciousness, that I am not a believer in any of your religions. And if you exist, I apologize for that, but surely, based on the rational development of cause and effect in the evolution of the natural world, you can appreciate that you have not given me any basis for believing in your supernatural existence.

No, TV, movies, radio or internet. Go to the temple for the entertainment. The beginning of religion had a lot of sex. Take one of the Genesis stories. Adam and Lilith, Adam’s first wife. Lilith want to be on top during sex. Adam didn’t want to. Lilith left Adam. God went to Lilith and told her to return to Adam or he would kill hundreds of her children. Lilith refused. God killed the children, then made Eve for Adam. A lullaby was sung to keep god from kill the babies at night. It is said that the word lullaby came from, Lilith go away.

The story of Lillith is found in neither the Bible or the Torah. It's from Jewish folklore and mythology . The word "lillit" appears once, in the book of Isaiah in a list of unclean animals. But yeah, there actually is a fair amount of smut in the Bible. Like Ezekiel 23:20 "There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses."

You ever notice that when god couldn’t hear you. If you wanted to talk to god, you had to go to the temple and pay the priest to talk to god for you when god came to visit. That there was a lot more sex in religion then. Once god developed the ability to directly hear your prays, the sexy stuff sort of went away.

Just as the Jewish religion copied some of the parts of Babylonia Genesis, it may have adopted Lilith. Lilith comes from Babylon. If the images of Lilith are correct, the art shows Zoroastrianism and not Jewish art standards. In the art of Lilith she is holding the rod and ring, symbolic of universal laws. Just some more of lost history, that we will never know the whole story.

Who or what created a sex drive in humans?
If it was a god, couldn’t he figure out what humans would do with it? Or is he not omniscient?

You know, I was going to write something about how Mike should actually read the wiki I linked to and how the Lillith = Mesopotamian demon theory is defunct in modern scholarship. But screw it. This idiot doesn’t care. All he wants is an audience to spew his idiocy at.

Wiki did not say defunct, it said disputed. Big deal, what isn't disputed in religion? The Babylonian demons ended up in many religions with new names and a few twists in the stories, not just the Jewish. When it comes to Wikipedia, some of the religious facts are being rewritten. Can't always trust Wiki when it comes to religion. The data you quote is coming from Judit M. Blair who happened to pen a book de-demonizing the OT. Lilith was just one of many that she challenged. Blair papers are printed by ResearchGate, a social networking site that share papers. That’s why I brought up the fact of the holding of the rod and rings, to point out that there is a lot we don’t understand. We don’t know the true history and may never know. Chill out a little bit. Remember, before Jerusalem was Jerusalem, it was call Salem, city of the gods. And the gods were from all over, including Babylon. The bible only covers a small and partial piece of what was going on. And what is this about an audience? You don't find an audience here of all places. And I do care, but if I nitpick every little thing I come across, that would be boring as hell.

AFAIK, the cause of desire was eating the forbidden fruit.

Can’t this guy write anything that isn’t word diarrhea?
