This is so true from a humanitarian perspective.
But also so typically blindsided, as though we can compare the time scales of human expectation, with the trajectories and time scales of Earth’s systems.
It sounds to me like a just so story. I mean, reading all the great things happening, one would think we’re doing pretty good - according to that read.
Then when I look at the bottomline, it’s not promising at all.
And nowhere did I read anything about the need for humanity to engage in a massive attitude adjustment for any of his notion to succeed, but that ain’t in the cards either.

Because the weather changes the UN is even admitting links between climate change funding of sexual mutilation. Follow the money. What has the Green New Deal been funding?
All Bill says is let’s back off climate change and use the funds where they can save lives and improve welfare most effectively.
The point being, some scientists argue that poverty and climate change are inextricably linked and that you must fight both together. I get that. But the problem I have is they are not real scientists. Or they would first define “climate change” with science. They are nothing more than political hacks.

The problem is that each technocratic department has their own definition of Climate Change. Today the EPA got slapped down by the upper courts because they are still trying to write the EPA laws. They were told their laws on EVs milage vs. gas vehicles was a false science and congress will write the EPA laws.

Please give me the datum points of the average global world temperature. The IPCC has admitted that all their reports has been running hot for the last 30 years in the models because of bad data. Let’s get down to basic science. Start with a datum point, line or plane.

What 40 years of missed prediction? Produce your link to the claims so that we can examine who your sources are - but you never can do that. And what they claim, and what’s actually happened.

My “speciality” has been confronting climate science “skeptics” with fact based constructive debates and it usually follows the same trajectory. I call out false claims, statements and question their reasoning with explanations, arguments and an assortment of relevant links to further authoritative information so people can learn about these issues for themselves.
If they return it’s with a round of bluster and distractions that morph into ad hominem attacks on people, either me, reporters or scientists. Never any indication that new information was read and assessed, let alone absorbed. I respond with more facts and reasoned arguments, they respond with final insults and slammed doors not to be heard from again. Leaving me with Virtual Debates where I strive to document the dishonesty that too many others seem to pardon.
These are the same talking heads who are astro-turfing media outletsdemanding public debate, but who steadfastly run from our debates. Tragically for our country and future these self interested folks only seek theatrical lawyerly debates dedicated to confusing and obscuring.

Narrow opinion. I thought we were at the point of going to use science. Yes, I have a lot of political science numbers which keep changing. I do not have any solid datum point numbers. As far as data means nothing to me. You got that backwards. I am tired of decades of bad data and so-called science. I have trouble understanding how wrong thousands of times the data is over the decades and you still think it is reliable. If you don’t have anything after decades and you want to build a world around nothing. Please review why Gates and others have changed their pathways.
But you never use science - you use rhetoric and toss around a fancy term like “Datum Points” but then you ignore all the data that has been presented - based on your own unreal expectations, that add it adds up to 
Earth Global Heat and Moisture Distribution is not a simpleton’s laptop experiment!!! You gotta be able to think past Sunday school faith lessons.
That’s why it takes experts to study and understand this stuff. And some serious dedication to doing the homework required to learn about it.
