This guy wrote one the most successful operating systems and reads time of books with high comprehension. I can’t believe he’s making a basic error like this. Supporting developing countries and climate change are intertwined, not a choice of one over the other
We can have our cake and eat it too.
Lower emissions will eventually lead to fewer devastating losses, but today’s farmers don’t have time to wait for the climate to stabilize. They need to raise their incomes and feed their families now.
This is so true from a humanitarian perspective.
But also so typically blindsided, as though we can compare the time scales of human expectation, with the trajectories and time scales of Earth’s systems.
It sounds to me like a just so story. I mean, reading all the great things happening, one would think we’re doing pretty good - according to that read.
Then when I look at the bottomline, it’s not promising at all.
And nowhere did I read anything about the need for humanity to engage in a massive attitude adjustment for any of his notion to succeed, but that ain’t in the cards either.
What, you want more gay parades? More sex mutilation of our children? Climate Change has been politically driven to mean nothing more than weather. Because the weather changes the UN is even admitting links between climate change funding of sexual mutilation. Follow the money. What has the Green New Deal been funding?
All Bill says is let’s back off climate change and use the funds where they can save lives and improve welfare most effectively.
The point being, some scientists argue that poverty and climate change are inextricably linked and that you must fight both together. I get that. But the problem I have is they are not real scientists. Or they would first define “climate change” with science. They are nothing more than political hacks.
Ya, pure facts. Our Nobel Prize winning scientist of 2022 just did a Bill Gates flip. What do you have? Three years left on the dooms day clock before we pass the point of no return. Or is that a correct fact today? The science facts keep changing what dooms day means the closer we get to zero hour.
What will you come up with next?
At least, you don’t contest anymore the climate change …
Reminds me of a cartoon from a couple decades ago, two guys laughing about how it won’t get hotter, then it gets hotter, then laughing about the oceans not rising, then they’re standing in waste deep water, then etc, etc
I will come up with where the money leads.
Morgan, yeah, but all that requires curious people, who want to understand what’s happening, and are willing to do the homework and learn about what the science has established.
Deceptive expectations - ignoring the science that does explain his questions - and rhetorical devices - it’s all the know-nothing crowd is interested in.
That’s the tragedy of our times, the ones who need to read and learn the most - couldn’t care less and are least likely to ever give it a serious think, . . . too busy weaving smoke-clouds of deception, and distrust toward others, for personal gain.
As far as the Biden administration. Climate Change is just weather. That was done so it could not be challenged in court. The problem is that each technocratic department has their own definition of Climate Change. Today the EPA got slapped down by the upper courts because they are still trying to write the EPA laws. They were told their laws on EVs milage vs. gas vehicles was a false science and congress will write the EPA laws.
Never have. If a cow farts. You have climate change. The question has always been. How much?
I gave you a trafic which measures it a average global world temperature increase
And i give you again a link which gives data and explanations
Please, read it before saying it is bogey science
And I had just given you the fact that our Nobel Prize scientist just did a 180. Does 40 years of missed predictions and being wrong mean anything to you? Please give me the datum points of the average global world temperature. The IPCC has admitted that all their reports has been running hot for the last 30 years in the models because of bad data. Let’s get down to basic science. Start with a datum point, line or plane.
You ask for things you already have. You provide no references for your conclusions. Data seems to mean nothing to you.
What 40 years of missed prediction? Produce your link to the claims so that we can examine who your sources are - but you never can do that. And what they claim, and what’s actually happened.
Because I bet I know the maliciously deceptive sources MY relies to produce his maliciously deception empty arguments - it’s been explain to him a thousand time and he simply keep playing a moron’s game. And if that seems derogatory - you bet it is, yet he deserve so much more . . . He’s an utter and total traitor to humanity and our Earth’s future.
> # Should lying about climate change be illegal?
Anthropogenic Global Warming - is causing current climate changes - which is driving more intense and chaotic weather system.
But MikeYohe is dedicated to not listening to anyone who has - with good faith studied the topic enough to become experts. But then, “Good Faith behavior” is something as foreign as Pluto is to him.
Though he’s just a wannabe - To find out where he learned his science deception from one would needs to learn a bit of history behind the Great Global Deception he’s such a proud member of
Cc’s Hall of Shame
My “speciality” has been confronting climate science “skeptics” with fact based constructive debates and it usually follows the same trajectory. I call out false claims, statements and question their reasoning with explanations, arguments and an assortment of relevant links to further authoritative information so people can learn about these issues for themselves.
If they return it’s with a round of bluster and distractions that morph into ad hominem attacks on people, either me, reporters or scientists. Never any indication that new information was read and assessed, let alone absorbed. I respond with more facts and reasoned arguments, they respond with final insults and slammed doors not to be heard from again. Leaving me with Virtual Debates where I strive to document the dishonesty that too many others seem to pardon.
These are the same talking heads who are astro-turfing media outletsdemanding public debate, but who steadfastly run from our debates. Tragically for our country and future these self interested folks only seek theatrical lawyerly debates dedicated to confusing and obscuring.
When it comes to Serious Constructive Debates - that is, dialogues that respect the confines of truth and honestly representing others and the evidence - these showmen are nowhere to be found.
I’m talking about intellectual cowards such as AnthonyWatts; Dr. Dick Lindzen; Dr. Roy Spencer; PascalBruckner; “Lord”Christopher Monckton; Stephen McIntyre; Jim Steele and his Landscapes and Cycles fraud; Heartland’s James Taylor; Marc Morano; Dan Pangburn; Martin Hertzberg; David Rose; Cornwall Alliance’s Beisner; Nasif Nahle; Pete Ridley; JohnO’Sullivan; Piers Corbyn; Willie Soon; H. Sterling Burnett; Howard Hayden; 1000frolly (Dr. Robert Ian Holmes); Poptech; Scottish Sceptic; Judith Curry; Donna Laframboise; Henrik Svensmark; Dave(NC20)Burton; Investors Business Daily; Mike Hulme.
Lesson from history
Pretty amazing what people can do when they’re on the same page.
The biggest problem today, besides way the heck too many people in general, is that when it comes to thinkers and leaders, everyone seems too busy stabbing at the other, including a lot of surreptitious back stabbing.
… Shady’s discovery of Caral and its 32 monumental buildings rewrote the history books. Her findings astonished her fellow archaeologists by showing that the Americas also had a society that was contemporaneous with the first great civilizations in Mesopotamia, Egypt, India and China.
Now, evidence is growing that, faced with a climate crisis, the civilization did not disappear but adapted and moved. Predating the Inca, the Maya and the Aztecs by millennia, these civilisations had complex trade systems, gender equality and apparently coexisted in peace.
Shady believes Peruvians can learn much from their ancestors about “living in harmony with nature”.
Tatiana Abad, the chief archaeologist at Vichama, says the legacy of the Spanish conquest continues to affect Peruvians. “[The Spanish] considered that this was not a civilization, that it was an uncivilized society, but the latest research shows that neither writing nor the wheel were necessary to achieve a complex society.” …

It might also be worth noticing, that these people saw our Earth as a member of their family, to be respected, feared, and worked with.
While modern man can’t seem to get their heads beyond the joys of plunder and party it away.
Narrow opinion. I thought we were at the point of going to use science. Yes, I have a lot of political science numbers which keep changing. I do not have any solid datum point numbers. As far as data means nothing to me. You got that backwards. I am tired of decades of bad data and so-called science. I have trouble understanding how wrong thousands of times the data is over the decades and you still think it is reliable. If you don’t have anything after decades and you want to build a world around nothing. Please review why Gates and others have changed their pathways.
But you never use science - you use rhetoric and toss around a fancy term like “Datum Points” but then you ignore all the data that has been presented - based on your own unreal expectations, that add it adds up to

Earth Global Heat and Moisture Distribution is not a simpleton’s laptop experiment!!! You gotta be able to think past Sunday school faith lessons.
That’s why it takes experts to study and understand this stuff. And some serious dedication to doing the homework required to learn about it.
Apr 6, 2010 PHSC 13400: Global Warming
PHSC 13400: Global Warming David Archer, Professor in Geophysical Sciences “Scope of the Class” September 30, 2009.
This 10-week course for non-science majors focuses on a single problem: assessing the risk of human-caused climate change. The story ranges from physics to chemistry, biology, geology, fluid mechanics, and quantum mechanics, to economics and social sciences.
The class will consider evidence from the distant past and projections into the distant future, keeping the human time scale of the next several centuries as the bottom line.
The lectures follow a textbook, “Global Warming, Understanding the Forecast,” written for the course. For information about the textbook, interactive models, and more,

But to those like you Mike Yohe, who haven’t shown the least bit of interest in understanding anything beyond your own solid political master-race convictions.
It’s never been about scientific rational constructive learning for you, only the politics, taxes are bad, protecting “nature” is for losers, and all that matters is me, me, me. - so of course, that’s the bludgeon you use on everyone. (Diversion, sort of like the sad gay soul locked in the closet, {say what???} you know, he’s the guy who’s the first to start bashing those who’ve dared come out of the closet)
All you know is your tiny script which never changes and which seems impervious due to no desire whatsoever to learn anything. How can I possible know that, by reading your stinking lies and distortions dripping with disingenuous.
The answer to bad science is better science. You give opinions
