The part where our biological history and reality is ignored.

And what am I claiming you don’t get?

That our human consciousness cannot be understood via the quantum mysteries, quantum woo, quantum anything.

That only through a better understanding of our biology and Evolution do we have any hope of understanding the seething caldron within us ourselves.

And you keep pushing the idea that indeed it is through quantum-whatever and philosophizing endlessly trapped within our hubris saturated minds, that we can unlock the mystery of ourselves.

You project yourself as a open thinker, yet anytime I mention the need for understanding our biological history, to understanding our selves you dismiss it, or you slam it, or you make snide remarks, or you post another disconnected from biological reality talk, by some genius talking head who’s making their living off of talking.

Incidentally intellectually wresting with you have been endlessly frustrating but also clarifying - for instant, recently the perfect analogy finally occurred to me.

Focusing on the quantum reality and such, to extrapolate theories of Mind out of - is the equal of focusing on homeopathy as the key to human health.

Only a self-identified child of “God” - rather than a child of Earth’s biology/evolution - can have that sort of frame of mind.

But you want to ban me, because you are the boss, and you are being blind to your own inconsistencies in logic.

Why it matters,
is because for the past couple centuries humans have added God-like-powers to their self-absorbed manner and self-serving nature, without gain an iota of genuine wisdom and self-awareness. There are reasons why we allowed that to happening and our self-absorbed, self serving nature, are where those failures are to be found.

And those failures will destroy us an this miraculous planet Earth we were bequeathed.

The what does not matter. This isn’t solved by you being right. It’s the righteousness that is the problem.

No mention that during the past half century Americans couldn’t even manage to pass the Equal Rights for women Amendment to our Constitution.

So much so that the odds of humanity seeing 2100 are getting vanishingly thin. America’s pluralistic democracy is on its deathbed. The ruthless disregard for human life among our business leaders and their politician pit-bulls, is every f’n bit as hideous as it was in the Middle Ages, simply look at the weapons we are developing and the glee with which nations hurl them at each other. But it’s just another day, and another audience to entertain for Pinker.

It feels like you are offended that anyone dare directly poke at humans’ self-absorbed nature and self-serving actions, and how that is rooted in human ignorance along with attitudes of holy superiority over this Earth, that only exists for our convenience.

Thing is the only antidote for that is a better appreciation for what we actually are, evolved animals with all its implications.
