Establishment journalists are piling on to smear Robert Fisk now he cannot answe

After being forced out of Rupert Murdoch’s Times newspaper for breaking a disturbing story in 1989 on the US shooting down of an Iranian passenger plane, he found a new home at Britain’s Independent newspaper, which had been recently founded. As a late-comer to the British media scene, the paper struggled not only to make money but to create a distinctive identity or gain any real visibility. Fisk survived, it seems, because he quickly established himself as one of the very few reasons to buy the paper. He was a rare example of a journalist who was bigger than the outlet he served.

Never heard of Robert Fisk. 9/10 journalists are lowlifes so it’s not surprising. It is also cringeworthy reading british media takes on Syria.
