Yes, so were we until last week. Experienced one storm, think it was last Tuesday, like none I’ve seen in ten years of living here. Started with lots of hail, fortunately normal sized ~3/8", around 45minutes we received a solid inch and watch trail and road start getting torn up.

Spend a bunch of time, on trail repair, placing large rocks in strategic position to help run off and then infilling with pea gravel (actually chip, pea gravel is rounded, and dirt which I collected from another spot where a culvert got clogged and created a little mud pond that drained, leaving lots of loess behind.)

Then couple days back got hit with another gully washer, tor up many hours of work, but my big rocks works at breaking up the flow. Yesterday another dozen 5 gal buckets of chips and some dirt to fill in the gullies. Now it’s started raining again, although not as torrential, so that’s nice. Good lightening show, that Maddy totally hates. Oh but our little patch of garden and lawn are awesome and the air is moist. And the furniture has stopped collecting dust by the millimeter.

I think it’s time to start ignoring DJ.

Here’s an NYT piece. I don’t subscribe, but I can see the opening paragraph. The Parks are indeed changing focus, like DJ says. Of course they are because they know the science. They predicted we would be in this state of affairs if govt and the rich did nothing, and hey, they did nothing. One guy made electric cars, and charged 70k for them.

DJ wants to turn this into something that he knows that we don’t. This is the mentality of people who stay up late watching get rich quick infomercials. I know those don’t exist anymore, but it’s the attraction of being superior to others, benefiting of secret knowledge. Thing is, it ain’t secret.

Mann said – as it turns out the warmer the ocean surface is, the more evaporation. And the more evaporation the more vapor will exists at any given time. Water acts as a feed back in the climate system. Water is just another greenhouse gas.

Mann is trying to back out of his box. He says the words “vapors” not “clouds”. His calk board show water to vapor to clouds to rain. But his words don’t match his picture.

Water is amplifying the warming of the surface. It is what is calls a feedback mechanism.

The surface is warmed, evaporating vapor into the air. The vapor (a greenhouse gas) warms the surface, evaporating even more vapor into the air.

In a warmer climate we would expect there would be more water vapor in the atmosphere that would lead to an amplification of the warming. But it also means that the water is cycling more vigorously thru our atmosphere. As it turns out that implies more frequent, more heavy rain fall, more heavy intense weather. As a result of this hydrological cycle.

Then Mann said the atmosphere is able to hold more water and the rainfall events become less frequent.

That is exactly what the GSM (Grand Solar Minimum) (the cycles of the sun) claimed a decade ago would happen when the GSM got here. And it is here now. Dr. Judith Curry explained a decade ago what would happen with hurricanes. Less in number but a lot more powerful.

Mann will not say the words “clouds” because clouds are connected to reflection of sunlight back into space and the cooling of the earth by rain and less sunlight energy hitting the earth.

The populist left are like sheep following the lead goat. Dr. Curry knew that business and governments need reliable information. She started a company giving forecasts to these major government operations who could not afford to follow political driven science.

Mann is correct, just ten years behind the science and still not admitting the clouds cool the earth.

There are 26 solar cycles and 21 of them are between ten- and twelve-year cycles. Thus, the 11-year cycles which changes the energy leaving the sun. When 4 of the main cycles are plummeting at the same time we have a GSM.

The old school scientists were claiming that these sun cycles and clouds must be added to the math and computer models to be able to predict the future weather cycles.

As taxpayer grant scientists lead by people like Dr. Mann claimed the sun cycles were not big enough to bother with and the clouds zeroed out mathematically. Thus, we wonder why the computer models have not worked. And we keep paying them!

So, why would anyone not use all the data? Most likely because if you used the clouds as the earth’s thermostat then it is possible the Co2 really has a greatly reduced warming affect.

Yes, there is Climate Change. The way to fix that is simple, get rid of the people.

If you don’t want to do that. Then change with the weather. And that is what we are going to have to do. But just lying to the populous on how the weather works and get people to give up their freedom and money is just wrong no matter what the reason for doing the lying is.

All the predictions that have come true are only on one side. I talked about the GSM and what the climate would be years ago. And it is happening just as predicted. That is real science being proven. What are your predictions. I ask you for your predictions years ago. You will not make any predictions. The predictions that have been made are what? 6, 10, 12, 20 years in the future. Eleven major predictions and they have all failed. Now the predictions have moved from 2050 to 2100. They do not want to be around for the predictions.

How many years back has it been that you were claiming all the science has been done? Now, all we need are regulations.

And you want to talk about greenhouse gasses? What about NASA’s satellite called the High Altitude Lidar Observatory (HALO) that was built to measure the upper atmospheres. We were told that heat rises and the missing Co2 heat has risen up into the higher atmosphere. The upper atmosphere were in trouble from over heating. Well guess what. We just got the readings from the HALO and now they are trying to figure out why the higher atmosphere is cooling. Not warming. Not just a little, but a lot. Enough to get some scientists taking about the coming Ice Age.

Posting articles are sometime just posting political taxpayer dollars paid for viewpoints following the grant money. Last week the Antarctica was warming to its highest level ever recorded. Well, the temperature recordings of the Antarctica is not that great. And if it did not warm, then there would be no snow or ice in the Antarctic. It is so cold there; it must warm to snow. And it does snow in cycles. What they did not say is half the Antarctic is experiencing record cold.

Incidentally HALO is an amazing instrument making incredible measurements that were impossible before. Of course, it’s going to find discrepancies with old data, and estimates built upon less information. But there’s nothing being reported about imminent cooling. Pure dishonest and malicious fraud against the people’s right to honestly learn about this climate engine we depend on.
