Climate Change Science 2021

No need to do the math.
That’s like saying I got Faith, I got no need for science.

Oh regarding those numbers:

What’s that going to be like for you?
Sounds like you’re looking forward to it, are you?

Everyone wants something to happen

No they don’t.
We are in the start of the Holocene Extinction event, also know as the Anthropocene extinction event.

The Holocene extinction, otherwise referred to as the sixth mass extinction or Anthropocene extinction,[3][4] is an ongoing extinction event of species during the present Holocene epoch (with the more recent time sometimes called Anthropocene) as a result of human activity.[5][6][7][8] The included extinctions span numerous families of bacteria, fungi, plants[9][10][11] and animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates.

With widespread degradation of highly biodiverse habitats such as coral reefs and rainforests, as well as other areas, the vast majority of these extinctions are thought to be undocumented, as the species are undiscovered at the time of their extinction, or no one has yet discovered their extinction. The current rate of extinction of species is estimated at 100 to 1,000 times higher than natural background extinction rates.[15]

Peace on Earth & Good Will towards fellow humans, that’s what I want.
To enjoy my days, my life, it’s season and people in it and the environment I’ve been blessed to inhabit.
When I die I have not need for any sort of heaven, my after life will unfold in those I leave behind, that’s good enough for me.

The thought of some after-life heaven seems and feels like pure living misery, hell even.
The expectation of living for ever and never losing touch with our loved ones, seem way more bizarre and childish. (If you can’t figure out how to deal with lose your spiritual life’s been failure anyways.)

Although I should add I’ve had way over a half century to let it soak in, I’ll admit I had a couple years of doubt and turmoil wondering if my rejection of the Bible and Jesus as the key to an everlasting after life, was the right choice. My life’s experience and watching others not even getting close to living up to their proud big talk has made me certain my choice was the correct one.

Then, by and by, I came to appreciate Jesus as a guide, teacher, friend in helping human through their personal struggles and help them live a HERE ON EARTH. Then our bodies dies, our minds switch off like a light bulb and that’s that, while Earth continues spinning through it’s orbit

Not sure why you give ett the time of day.

Looks like he even edited out his “paradise” comment. Seems like he is a guy who is comfortable and not worried about the actual struggles of others.

Heck, that’s like asking why I spend my so much of my little free time here at CFI.
Looking for interesting conversations and sometimes I just have to make do with what’s available.

Also part of my self-doubt thing, see if I can constructively answer challenges.

So you’ll be on a beach in San Juan or Hawaii drinking Mai Tais? Or what is paradise to you?

In the wizard of Oz at the end was presented: similar but why I say:
If you need to reach Paradise, you need not to seek further than your own back yard.
But in some cases it is just Paradise lost
