Climate Change Scenarios

Much of Philosophy only tells you how we got here, or at best what might happen “if”. That is the frustrating part, when you get it, but see others don’t. Science is that way too. It can show a fact, but can’t force a thought to occur in a brain.

No.

This is the famous mommies
Military industrial complex speech. He sees the need for permanent military, and the need to temper it

Such a confederation must be one of equals. The weakest must come to the conference table with the same confidence as do we, protected as we are by our moral, economic, and military strength. That table, though scarred by many past frustrations, cannot be abandoned for the certain agony of the battlefield.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I was trying to bring attention to the Profit making on people’s addictions, chronic diseases, and deaths.

These products and services should be provided by non-profits. That does not mean the manufacturers and distributors cannot make a good living on healthcare.
Doctors make good money and they have earned it, but black-mailing people with chronic diseases to pay exorbitant prices is criminal in my book.

I find it outrageous that you can buy many US-manufactured drugs cheaper in foreign countries than in the US , the country of origin.

I praise President Biden for forcing manufacturers of insulin to lower the price from 300 dollars for 30 day supply to 35 dollars for a 30 day supply!!!

I got that. A lot of profit is made by people completely divorced from actual giving of care. Insurance for example is often about denying care. Pharmacy execs don’t see patients. Addictions can be prescriptions but nurses will tell you how they safeguard against the drug seekers. Treating drug abuse like an illness instead of a crime would help.

The death industry is partially driven by the ethics of allowing the patient to choose their care. Catholic hospitals won’t allow them to refuse food, they’ll stick a feeding tube in you. Others will need a diagnosis of a terminal illness. We need to get comfortable talking about that.
