And religions evolve for the most part from older religions. So did the gods when we entered the Age of Deities. I think what you are calling witchcraft comes from the Egyptian religion. Can you tell me one item in the NT that is original to the NT? Or a couple of items in the OT that is original to the OT? What I see is that the Jewish people were known as the “people of the book". The book was a book of laws. So basically you had a religion of lawyers. Today you have the Jewish Zionists and that is the creation of old (new) traditions. A completely new branch of the Juda religion.
