You’re welcome. We don’t need any computer coding, but maybe some comments on permaculture. I see you were on Telegram, anything interesting from there?
Hi John,
Good morning there.
Permaculture can be done with small scale machine like weaving(electric not manual), bio cng, bamboo plywood, etc. There are small readymade machine cost around 4000$. We can generate our electricity with biofuel/biocng. Also car can work on methanol/bio oil/bio cng. There are books to convert diesel vehicle to biofuels. I am still exploring. Once I have rental farmhouse then I try to dig more. Bamboo plywood can be used to make house. Also there natural water filter with harvesting rain water. We can make small ponds. House architecture for good sustainable way of living etc part of permaculture.
Thanks and Regards,
Amit

Hi, I’m Mia. I know how to solve the nature of reality.
Right. And I’m a Betazoid. Daughter of the Sixth House. Nice to meet you.
Is the nature of reality a problem that needs fixing?
Dang, sorry Amit, I came here to meet you and say hello. Would like to hear more about how your efforts are working out.
Incidentally, if you look at the menu right above the text box (were you post and edit), in the middle there’s a small landscape image - you can use that to post pictures if you wanted.
Hello everyone,
My name is Isidora, and I am a marketing student in the greater Chicago area. I became a member after watching Neil deGrasse Tyson’s and Richard Dawkins’ discussion on StarTalk. I was born into the Orthodox Christian faith, but I always struggled to believe its teachings. My parents knew very little about our religion and had never read the Bible, yet they were convinced that my lack of faith was the cause of any misfortune that befell our family.
Out of curiosity, I began reading both the Quran and the Bible. This experience only strengthened my belief that these books should be regarded as fairy tales and that morality is derived from society rather than religion. I came to see religion as more of a threat to humanity, curiosity, and reason than a benefit. It was incredibly liberating and comforting to listen to Mr. Dawkins and find a community where reason prevails.
Welcome Isidora. Jump right in and join the conversations.
Welcome Isidora.
Looking forward to your posts.
I can recommend a great reference, in case you are not already familiar with it.

I thought of that but decided not to say it. She’s having a bit of a time here, not quite getting what the forum “is”. I get it that you saw a funny play on words, but I worried she would take it personally. I don’t know what “solving the nature of reality” means either, but I’d love hear what she’s got.
Your empathic ability didn’t help you here, Deanna. I’m genuine. I’m the real deal.
I’m more like Lwaxana and given your genuine and real, it makes it easier. lol
Thank you, the resource you provided is very insightful.
I am still searching farmhouse on rent to experiments. Digging into books. Efforts on progress. Let’s see what life takes.

In what field do you research?
We could use some fresh stories, and I have the feeling you might have some interesting stories to share. Not many of here, but we will be interested readers if you take us up on it.
See ya around the neighborhood.
I hope.
I am a retired (on recall) orthopaedic bioengineer, who started off as a high school biology teacher, and ended up as a university professor (adjunct) doing research in bone microcirculation and implant biocompatibility. I am a member of NCSE, and very concerned about the science education of non-STEM students. This concern is intensified by current attempts to introduce ideology into the science curriculum. As the author of a bioengineering science ethics textbook, I stressed the need to elevate data to the status of a scientist’s client. The fulfilling of this need cannot be implemented if the lay public, which funds scientific research through government grants, cannot trust scientists to be apolitical in their work, which includes teaching of the subject. I believe CFI, through its interactions with NSTA, can provide pressure to dissuade this organization from politicizing science teaching.
I have stories about cancel culturing. But I wish to avoid naming names, out of respect for my colleague’s wishes. I have stories about my failures, and the lessons I learned from them. I also have anecdotes about my interactions with believers, students and colleagues, who I approach with respect, as is the policy of NCSE. I tell them out of concern, not a wish to entertain. Thank you, “notifications”
Howard
