Founded on a thorough understanding of Earth’s geological and biological evolution.
Rediscovering the truth in MOTHER NATURE.
Becoming aware of Earth’s fantastical folds within folds of cumulative harmonic complexity cascading down the stream of time.
This time we have the science to back up our emotions and spirituality.
What’s the point? besides becoming a richer deeper people,
we learn an appreciation that we need our Earth healthy and that it is our responsibility to nurture her.
Or something like that. We’ve been reshaping the origin story for a while now. I’d be okay with just about anything at the center except us. We obviously are not the reason for creation. Things are here for us, we just discover them and are really good at using them.
Worshipping Mother Nature sounds good to me also. Who would have thought that Paganism might actually be the answer to the age old question of origins, at least on earth.
Paganism,
• a modern religious movement incorporating beliefs or practices from outside the main world religions, especially nature worship
No rituals required, just respect and consideration for it’s awesome functional powers.

What's the point? besides becoming a richer deeper people, we learn an appreciation that we need our Earth healthy and that it is our responsibility to nurture her. Can't we simply apply this to an already existing ism, pantheism? If that doesn't work The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster may be a good option or maybe Flip Wilson's Church of What's Hapnin Now would please many.
Why not Earth Centrism as a religion?
I call that domestication. As Jesus says in the Gnostic texts, god is in all of us. The “god" Jesus is talking about is not a deity, it a term that means “knowledge“. The picture that is forming from our history that is being rediscovered, is the possibility that after the human bottleneck where humans just about went extinct around 70,000 B.C. A knowledge base developed, and the earth was domesticated. There are claims coming out of India that the knowledge base was actually started as far back as 300,000 years. But, we have no solid proof except for some graves. And that is a big assumption. The big question that needs to be answered is, “are humans today domesticated?”. Or put in older text, were we created? And the answer should be figured out within the next decade or two by DNA. The older pre-history texts say that we were created. Right now, the DNA date of creation of humans with white skin as we know today is found to be 12,000 years ago.
The point being. If we were created. “Why were we created?" The pre-history stories and the bible both agree upon why we were created. To take care of the earth. That is why we are here.
Probably be difficult to get normal people interested in nature worship. For starters, nature itself is usually too boring to inspire worship. Secondly, neo-paganism already exists and its filled with social rejects who will immediately repel anyone who bathes or has a sex life.
If humanity wasn’t so urbanized something like nature appreciation could perhaps make headway, but a religion based around nature is an automatic dead end.
I look at it differently. I think beer and sex would be part of nature’s natural ways for humans. I think history proves that. Before deities, worship was Gnostic. Gnostic meaning “knowledge". Jesus used Gnostic teaching. So, what would be wrong with Jesus’s Gnostic teachings that say god is in all of us? Or our worship would be in knowledge.
Aren’t we in a way doing that today? Half the taxes in California goes to education. People seem to spend half their productive life being educated. If we put beer, sex and education together we may have a form of nature worship. What comes from these educational centers? A need to save the nature and the earth.
Therefore, a religion based around nature would be hard to do. But a religion based around knowledge, could include nature and is in a way sort of being done. Remember, the main common factor between all religions is the control of some sort of knowledge. And the term “god" first meant “knowledge". Then the most famous god so far in history was Ra. And what did Ra control, you got it, “knowledge". Ra sent knowledge to you by sunlight.

An honest inner driven desire, need, to absorb and digest all the new information one is offered. A need to understand or at least grasp the big story of self and god and creation before stepping off this fantastical stage we inhabit for our short moments. MikeYohe, go back over your “science, science, science" thread, you’ll find many examples of education, but not a hint of learning, absorbing, digesting or interacting with the reality of the information being offered. Seems to me you were always too busy dismissing everything for whatever fancy. If I’m wrong I’d love to know which posts those might be. Let’s look at them closer. Oh and you do appreciate you've been hiding from some serious questions, regard your habit of committing remorseless, in fact ruthless, calumny against the good character of a respected scientist and authority in his field. So tell me Mike, what is this “education" you speak of and what has it been good for? Cheers, gotta run.

Just need to look at the drivel MikeYohe keeps trying to spout, while dodging and hiding from every serious question and critique that's he's been offer. I'm not saying any of this is possible - I'm just saying it's the only route that offers a little sanity as be move forward into a world unraveling.
