When ideological fundamentalism consumes you.

This is not directed at anyone on this thread. I have noticed in my own family and circle of close personal friends the effect's of trump's election. It is an order of magnitude in difference as compared to what was was present with gwb. Viscerally I am repulsed by trump and his blatant hucksterism and frequent repeating of information which is demonstrably wrong. Fareed Zakaria, I believe, has correctly characterized him as Bullshitter in Chief. What I try to keep in mind for myself, and remind my friends and family, is that when you are confronted with a bullshitter you cannot take much of what they say with the same seriousness as you would most others. That's a difficult stance to maintain when talking about the current sitting POTUS, but I think it is applicable. So instead of becoming ever more outraged at his latest incorrect tweet, I am trying to focus on the actual results of actions that are being taken and what the consequences are or might be.
The problem is the final results won't be known until the devastating damage is done. There are going to be years of cleaning up to do after Trump is out of office and his administration is history. But we'll be stuck with a right-wing, reactionary Supreme Court for decades, making any clean up take even longer. And think of the damage to the environment that will ensue after he dismantles the EPA and dismantles other regulations that were put in place to protect the public. And that's assuming he hasn't started a nuclear war. Trumped-Up Health Care will take years to rectify, with millions of people left to fend for themselves for years to come. The cleanup from Trump will cost untold millions if not billions. I can't even guess how long it will take to get back even to the place we were before he was fraudulently elected. I despair for our country and its people. Will the 1% pay for any of it? Not on your life--not even the top 10%. The middle class will be left paying the clean-up crews for years to come while the billionaires laugh all the way to the bank.
