Very well please delete my account, the incessant hostility and attacks on one’s character here to those who dissent from the preferred truth is quite evident, the site is hostile and I want nothing more to do with it. The site is close to useless anyway, the same old tired crew nagging at everyone else, its a social club not a discussion or debating site and its a tiny one at that.
I’ve been at this for a while. This is only the second time someone has made this request. The first one was more dramatic, played out over a few weeks. Anyway.
This related topic came up in the list, from 9 years ago. I was not a moderator at the time but two moderators who were here when the forum was active chime in with excellent comments. They were great models for me.
My comment; the year of this linked thread says more than anything. 2017. Debunking misinformation used to be all flat earths and shrouds of Turin. Now you could be standing at the gas pump and get into an argument about what the price actually is.
