This makes so much sense" is what you will tell yourself as you read, however it’s actually all ambiguous, useless and completely unproven.
There are other similar comments. Some saying that if you read a different self-help book, you may also think it makes sense, but, ask yourself, why do two different approaches both make sense? How should you go about testing, choosing, evaluating? If you do that well, you should end up with time tested healthy ways to learn and grow.
With books like this, you will always feel like you aren’t quite getting it.
On some level I know it’s wrong but I’m thinking because of my upbringing I cannot say no. Namely that in my house growing up I was told “No” a lot and I wasn’t allowed to say no. I guess I took that to heart later on.
