A libertarian would say that a free and open market would self regulate. :-S

Because when people start dying others will stop buying that meat. The market always corrects itself. :coolsmirk:

His reference to azodicarbonamide was a separate problem. It’s used in making bread because, when heated it decomposes to nitrogen and carbon dioxide causing the dough to puff up. Since it’s much faster than adding yeast and giving the dough hours to rise, it’s used by all of the fast food places that serve buns, rolls, etc. It’s claimed that it may not completely decompose and could leave a small amount of toxic material.
I’m sure that under a libertarian regime, the huge amount of fast food deaths from their bread would shut down MacDonalds, Subway, Quiznos, Jack in the Box, Wendy’s, Carl’s Junior, etc.
