Excellent look at the recent data. We are at the point where discussing minor effects on the economy are meaningless. The major catastrophes will override everything

Tue 24 Jun 2025 - The GuardianThe most eye-opening part of your book was about the assumptions of the Nobel prize winner William Nordhaus that we’ll probably only face a very low percentage of GDP loss by the end of the century. This surely depends on ignoring tipping points?
The only way Nordhaus can get the result that he does is if he fails to price the risk of catastrophe and leaves out a goodly chunk of the costs of global heating. In his models, he does not account for climate damages to labour productivity, buildings, infrastructure, transportation, non-coastal real estate, insurance, communication, government services and other sectors. But the most shocking thing he leaves out of his models is the risk that global heating could set off catastrophes, whether they are physical tipping points or wars from societal responses. That is why the percentage of global damages that he estimates is so ridiculously lowballed. The idea that climate change will just take off only a small margin of economic growth is not founded on anything empirical. It’s just a kind of quasi-religious faith in the power of capitalism to decouple itself from the planet on which it exists. That’s absurd and it’s unscientific.
We saw this coming 50 years ago, but million and billions have been spent by idiot billionaires to deceive -and it’s been done in the most transparent way - GREED IS GOOD - no secret for anyone with half a brain and an iota of genuine concern for this planet that created and nurtured the most incredible biological creatures yet. Crickets. This is the gratitude we show towards our real Mother Earth and Life in general.
It contemptuous - toss on top of that, the ease with which we gluttonous Americanos trashed and rejected the best democracy ever created, (flawed, though as full of promise as a human beings.)
But we rather be lazy pigs - time moves slowly but it keeps marching on, and now it won’t only be our kids paying the price, we’ll get to experience it for ourselves. Oh yeah, as will all the creatures on this incredible Earth and its biosphere.
The necessary actions the west refuse to do
Carter gave advice to Trump about China, at Trump’s request. He said China is outpacing us because they don’t spend nearly as much on the military as we did.
Did biden take carters advice ?
As I keep asking you, is that rhetorical? The military budget is just about the only bipartisan bill. It’s not even news that it gets passed.
So whats the significance of highlighting trump only ?
There is something seriously wrong with you
I dont mind the personal attacks. Bring it on

Is Donald Trump a Tyrant?
Posted on March 21, 2016 by Marcia Welsh
To the ancient Greeks, “from whom we derive the political concepts that undergird our democracy,” a tyrant (tyrannos ) is “a figure who, usually through great personal wealth, circumvents established political processes to attain power. Often an outsider or one of the wealthy elite, the tyrant flouts conventions of discourse and forums for debate. The tyrant ignores traditions of deliberation and steamrolls opposition. Ultimately, a tyrant rises to power in ways that undermine democratic structures, leaving the ruler unaccountable to those ruled or to the checks and balances of the system.” In his OpEd piece for Time, “This is What Ancient Greeks Would Have Called Donald Trump,” Professor Devin Singh goes back to this definition and explores whether or not Donald Trump is a tyrant, fitting this definition, and if he poses a “fundamental threat to American democracy.”

“The very definition of tyranny”: Donald Trump’s attempted coup
- Mark Kesselman
March 4, 2025 -James Madison somberly noted in Federalist Paper No. 47 that “The accumulation of all powers—legislative, executive, and judiciary—into the same hands…may justly be described as the very definition of tyranny.” Madison’s words are more relevant than ever given Donald J. Trump’s actions since beginning his second presidential term. One should not dismiss as hyperbole a recent cover of The Economist portraying Trump wearing a crown and headlined “The Would-Be King.”
America was repeatedly warned of the risk of a coup d’état if Trump were to regain power.[1] Trump’s first presidency was an alarming display of authoritarianism, cruelty, and corruption. …
greenhammerxxx, why does it seem that trump holds a special spot in your heart?
Have you ever examined your passion for Donald Adolf Trump?
The democrats killing the bill to impeach trump over iran proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt - the Democrats are covert Republicans and fully deserving of contempt
