You know 69, our country is in a tough place with democracy under attack like never before. Well okay this ‘attack’ has actually been happen since about Nixon (and even before, if you want to get into the weeds) and his dirty tricks teams along with Billy Graham and his god squad.
The ‘left’ the ‘enlightened’ crowd who like humanity and diversity and living in communities where people cared about one another (and of course, also cared about science and learning and the environment that we depend on, so much more than most can imagine, but I digress.) never seriously confronting the growing slippage into delusional thinkings, keeping quite enjoying the party while it lasted.
It’s ugly, and you know, yes, we can be certain that it’s going to get way uglier by degrees. Cherish what you have while you have it! I try to do constructive things that matter to people. I do my best to embrace the good during my todays, to have something set aside in my heart for when the ugly gets around to crashing into my life.
I have no delusions and appreciate that ugly tomorrows are heading our way because of our citizens apathy along with our leaders gluttonous criminality - with its disconnect from actual living, into these consumer units according to the corporate masters of the universe.
I escaped the trap set for me, upon graduating in '73, and I’ve been watching from a far and have been mightily afeared watching the drum beat of really bad decisions that We The People have gone along with.
Here we are 2022 with our sins are coming home to roost. I have no faith in tomorrow, for me to retain some equilibrium and live with love and peace in my heart, I focus on today, doing the best I can with what I have, behaving with dignity and respect for others, then I go to bed and wake tomorrow to do it again. It’s that simply.
